DATE: Ocober 31st
TIME: 1pm
WHERE: Yodobashi Camera in Umeda, Osaka
MEET AT: First floor of Yodobashi, the Vie du France (bread shop)
WHAT: Comme Ca Cafe
Price: For a cake and tea set, about 1200 yen.
For just cake, about 800 yen
WHAT WILL WE DO: Well, I'll take time to give some sort of speech ("We are gathered here to eat cake and talk of GLORY"), and we'll eat cake and have stickers and just hang out and talk about the novels we are planning to write. Also, we can discuss future venues for weekend write ins.
I'll also have a raffle prize (microwavable cake mix with tasty jam!), and some other little freebies (STICKERS). And maybe something special too.
I'll be wearing a bright yellow shirt announcing that I am your ML! We'll do cake, and afterwards, we'll go and take commemorative print club that I will upload to the Nano Flickr site. ^_^
If you need any directions, lemme know. ALSO: PLEASE INFORM ME IF YOU ARE COMING. If you don't, I will NOT wait for you.
Respond to this thread or PM me to lemme know. I will wait for people to show up, but not long.
We'll be breaking up before you have to get to your Halloween parties, never fear, 8D
~Hiko

I'll be there!
And I do need directions, please. :D;;; I would be leaving from Hirakatashi.
Edit: Oh, to clarify, I've never been to Umeda, so I'm not sure which train to take to get there, what price ticket I should buy, etc. Let alone how to get to the cafe once I'm in Umeda. >_> I apologize for my cluelessness...

What's the closest subway to you? You should be able to hop on the subway and get to Umeda very easily. I think Hyperdia should even help in this situation! http://www.hyperdia.com/cgi-english/hyperWeb.cgi
If it doesn't, let me know. I'll try to remember to grab a subway map this weekend. (mmm, Subway, eat fresh--wait)
Also: access map to Yodobashi Camera.
http://www.yodobashi-umeda.com/info/access.html
If you are coming from the Midosuji line, follow the signs for the Hankyuu trains out of the subway, and to your left you should see the Yodobashi building exit. Take the OUTDOOR escalators and you should see a group of foreigners, one of whom will be wearing highlighter yellow.
If you have a ketai, pm me your info and I will send you mine, just in case you get lost. 8D
*edited to add access map page. GOOD JOB THERE SELF)

From Hirakatashi; take the train to the end of the Keihan Line (Yodoyabashi, 320 yen) and then take the red Midosuji subway line from there to Umeda.

Shimegami--thanks! I've not been anywhere near Hirakatashi, so I wasn't sure about the subway line there! Glad that someone could help. *fails*
Lorata--Are your plans all day? I know most people probably have night plans, which is why I was aiming to have the meet at around 1pm. However, if anyone is free on November 1st, I might be able to schedule a write-in at McDonalds or STarbucks before I head home on Sunday?

I'll actually have to get back to you on that one, because I can't find the details of when the event I'm going to actually is. *facepalm* Hold that thought!
***EDIT***
Okay, still no time on the other event I'm going to, but provided I can get back home in time to change into my costume, grab some food, etc., and then head out to Himeji, I should be there.
Might want to warn people not to wear Halloween costumes to the meet-up, if they were planning on it, by the way. Thanks to the asshats who throw the Osaka Loop Line party every year (ugh), the Japanese police and JR Rail police will be looking for foreigners in costume and trying to dissuade them from riding the train.

Lorata, where are you coming from? You should have plenty of time, and you can always leave the cafe early if you need to. Or, you can change in a bathroom. XD It's something I have done a few times.
At any rate, I'm guessing the meet will be over sometime around 2:30~3, so time shouldn't be a problem, I hope!
I am pretty excited, you guys. 8D

Ahh, we'd wondered. That's too bad! :(
Did you at least make it to Umeda, or did you get lost at Yodoyabashi?

I did make it to Umeda, having been there once before last week to make sure I COULD get there, but today I got horribly lost... I looked around for an hour and couldn't find the place. x_x I have, like, no sense of direction... >_>

Awww! Next time, I will try and get you there a bit more easily. Sorry that you were missed! Next time, I will make sure you have me phone information, so if you get lost you can get ahold of me and I can try and help.
