We will be hosting the East Bay Kick-off Shindig will be on November 1 at La Scala in Walnut Creek at 11:00am! Your MLs will grab some tables and have some power strips. If your computer needs to be plugged in, you might want to bring a power strip, just in case. La Scala has lots of power plugs and free Wifi, in addition to their good food and coffee.

We'll have goodies to share and leftover Halloween candy to consume and trade.

La Scala is less than 1/2 mile from BART.

Details:
La Scala
1655 N Main St, Ste 110
Walnut Creek, CA 94596
11:00am until we get tired of writing.

Okay, I'll try to make it. :) Reserve a coffee pot for me...

The kind that write into the wee hours of the morning. :-)

We wanted to make sure we could get some tables reserved before the lunch rush.

This is my sunday plan (and I think it looks way more insane than 11am start)... Midnight to 1-3am writing, sleep 3-5 hours (depends on how long I write), up at 6am, write another hour, horseback ride, shower change (around 10:50am I'll be doing that), TO THE KICKOFF (there by 11:30am I hope)... And write until the party dies or my fingers fall off... I expect 5,000+ the first day.. As high as 10,000. Whoooo. Insanee.. Then 8 hours of sleep into Monday and off to school. Wowww I'm going to be lacking on sleep for awhile. haha

Man, I wish I could go. I don't want to go alone though. And I am usually rushing to finish homework on Sundays. Haha.

D'Oh! Really wish I was going to this. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
Mostly because I have to help someone speed move all day on Sunday...

Bahaha, I wish I was diligent enough to actually be writing at midnight that night. But I'm a college student, so I'll spend the 31st doing random Halloween junk until I collapse from exhaustion at 2AM.

And THEN I get to write. As in, write one story, scrap it, start another, and decide the first idea was better to begin with. It'll be fun.

(Hey Colosseum, I hope you're dressing your horse up for Halloween! This is the first year I won't be doing so, awww...)

I live two blocks away and stopped in for a cup of coffee at noon, then left. Had absolutely no idea this was going on. I'm not all that observant without my coffee, apparently. Just decided to check the forums to see what kind of stuff was going on and found this thread.
Well done, me!

I came and stayed for part of the time. Next time I need to remember the power cord for my laptop.
