Hey everyone,

I was wondering how many people here in the southbay are on twitter. I'm here in South San Jose (work and go to school in Palo Alto). I figured that if any one of us has an urge to run out of their house and drop into a coffee shop, bar, or lounge to get some writing done (or take a break from writing) we can tweet to announce it and/or see if others are available. On the same vein, there are times when we simply need a touch of inspiration for creativity.

Example
Tweet: What's the first word or phrase that comes to mind when I say "You did what!?"
Reply Tweet1: Monkeys throwing poop.
Reply Tweet2: The doctors vs the dog whisperer
Reply Tweet3: Your mother.

My twitter ID is innerinquiry (don't be alarmed when you see a totally different picture - for some reason I can't update my nano pic). Reply with your ID if you think you might want to get in on this.

That sounds like a great idea! I'm also in South San Jose (right near the Santa Teresa Kaiser Hospital) so I'm probably not that far off from you, thus any coffee shop meetings would not be too far out of my way.

My twittername is Ksiezniczka same as it is here. :3

Wow. I think you live right down the street from me. My nearest major intersection is Santa Theresa and Lean. And we've got plenty of little coffee shops in the area to pop into. Hope to connect with you soon!

I'm on twitter as "jkusters", but I usually have Twitter turned off (pretty much ALL internet stuff turned off) when I'm writing. I'd be happy to send words of encouragement outside of my writing, though!

I've created a click-list of everyone who has replied so far. You can access it here (http://tweepml.org/sobaynanowrimo/), and select the people you wish to follow.

There is now! #SoBaNaNo seemed like a good one, since that's what we seem to use on the boards?

I'm "nikki0x4d" there, if you haven't searched for the tag =)

I live in south San Jose, off McLaughlin near Tully. I like going to the Panera on Monterey Rd (what Tully turns into) at the huge shopping center The Plant across from the cemetary (bwaa haa haa haa!).

Would love to meet up with nanos there.

Wow. This is awesome. Couldn't have hoped for more nano contacts on twitter. I just joined a few weeks ago and am hooked. For those who want easy access to SoBaNano tweets, I reccomend downloading Tweetdeck: http://tweetdeck.com/beta/

You can create group lists of the people you're following. I created one for Nanowrimo Southbay. This way I don't have to jump from page to page or conduct a search whenever I want to find out whats going on. You can also tweet from the deck. Bonus feature: pop-up tweets in the top right corner of your screen from all group lists on your tweet deck. Note: You'll only see a person's ID on your group list once they tweet (caused me a bit of confusion).

It takes a little getting used to, but if you're looking to stay connected, this is the way to go.

Also, another note about tweetdeck, if you have an iPhone, it's a free App. (FREE!) Most of the time I'm using tweetdeck off my iPhone, so I can tell you it's great.

Not sure how I can add on to the tweeple, but I created an account just for nanowrimo, since I'm sure I'll need to vent/support others.

I am a Twitter individual as well, woo. My page:

What with my general inability to manifest at write-ins, it's probably as good as way as any of making me a part, however tangential, of your noveling experience. :-)

Yay! I love twitter, I'm on it way too much. But I sense great word war possibilities there. I've just followed a bunch of you. My name is ScarletQuill, same as here, so if you see me as a new follower of yours, don't be alarmed. I come in peace.
