Yea, I decided to make another of what must be, what, ten thousand different report cards? But I felt like building my own, and figured I'd share it with you all. :)

MS Excel 2007 version: http://www.sendspace.com/file/zi25y3
MS Excel 97-2003 version: http://www.sendspace.com/file/l2tq8j

And here's a screenshot I took of it with some random data thrown in so that you can kind of see how it works. Note that only the lightest shaded boxes are ones you'll fill in, everything else generates automatically! :)

Click here to see the screenshot, it's kinda large even though I cropped it: http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s211/PubliusHJM/nanoreportcardexample...

Also note that I added in a little automatic highlight rule so that if you don't hit your daily wordcount target and/or fall behind on your pace to get the whole thing done in 30 days, you get an ugly little red highlight over that day's percentages to remind you that you need to pick up the pace.

Hope this helps some of you! If you notice any bugs please let me know, this is my first time putting together something like this and I wouldn't be surprised if I botched it up somewhere on accident. :P

Pretty nice. I was going to reformat it for my own style but I couldn't see the formulas, are they protected?

Yea if you click Unprotect Sheet under the Review tab (in 07, it's been so long since i used an earlier version I couldn't tell you where to find it in them) you can play with it. I just protected it so somebody that wanted to use it as is didn't accidentally erase a formula.

A habit I picked up after dealing with one too many computer illiterate corporate exec types that don't understand how Excel works mucking up an entire spreadsheet with an ill-placed keystroke, lol. :)

Isn't that the absolute truth!!! Lucky for me, my boss isn't a fool and when I started, her boss was a whiz with Excel on a level that is above and beyond Bill Gates. When I send my spreadsheets to business partners though I just send values no formulas.

Thank you so much! I had the older version a couple years ago, and lost it when my laptop died. I'm thrilled to have found this post - I was so worried I'd not be able to replace it!

Thanks again!

I've never heard of this before. It's definetly something to keep me working, since the more I'm reminded I'm doing poorly to my own high standars the more I want to work. XD

Awesome! I've been using the one from a few years ago, as well. This one is much nicer and a lot slicker.

I managed to figure out how to alter the old one to use any month of the year... (I like to NaNo in the summer, too). This one looks a little more complicated. Would you help?

This really is a great tool and I appreciate you taking the time to put it together.

Cheers!

This is awesome. I'll be adding a graph because I like the visual though. Thank you for making this!

Nice! This will be my third year using my own, crude version of a tracking spreadsheet. I think it really helps inspire.
