I'm counting on you guys to keep the calendar full... if you're going to host a write-in or other writers event, here's the place to post it. I'll dig into the calendar features to see if I can get them all organized and stuff.

To host a write-in, just pick a place, set a time (weekly is preferred), check with the proprietor to make sure 2-8 laptoppers for 2-3 hours is okay with them, and let us know here.

Feel free to give any caveats of note, like "no wifi" or "no electric outlets" or "you may as well get six of the brownies because you'll want them all." Addresses, parking/transit help, etc, all helpful.

I'll be at The Booksmith on the 19th and hope to see folks there. Too bad it's the same day/time as Borderlands Books - I'd love to see Ripley (the bookstore cat) again.

Blast! I will miss that date by a bit.

I'll be heading from Montreal, Canada (home) into assorted places (Vancouver and Seattle) and San Francisco for the night of the 21st through early early on the 23rd.

Is anyone going to the Write-a-thon Fundraiser on the 22nd?

I'll be at the write-a-thon and I'm thinking of setting up a weekly write-in at my local cafe, The Nervous Dog, near Cortland on Mission, in Bernal Heights; probably on Monday mornings, or maybe early afternoons.

I lived in Montreal for eleven years! Cote St Luc and then across the Bridge in Brossard. Went to Centennial Regional High School and Concordia University. Where in Montreal are you?

atoma,
I just joined today--I'm close to Nervous Dog, geographically. Close to you in age. It might work out for me some Mondays.
I am sooo new at this.

@atoma - Have you been to the other two Write-a-thons?

@WithAnticipation - I work in Cote St-Luc and used to live, for a few years, in Longueuil. Now CDN/NDG is home.

Good to see you at the gathering this evening. My brother and I are pals who headed up Marcil together in case you're wondering - who is this chap? Ruth & I are sitting down to our supper. Keep the old computer humming!
Later!

@teheaj - I did see in the East Bay forum there are events planned in Oakland, Berkeley and the environs.

This link: United States :: California :: East Bay should work to take you over yon and there is a google calendar embedded in the right of the page to display regional events.
