I am up in Urakawa (closest big cities are Toyohashi and Hamamatsu). This will be my third year. If anyone in the area wants to spend a Saturday or Sunday writing in a cafe somewhere, please let me know . . .

I'm only about an hour by local JR from Hamamatsu, so it's not such a horrid pain to get there :)

Haha and I totally know you! It's Kristina Manente. We only met at Kakegawa Orientation, but we're facebook friends!

I'm also in Shizuoka Prefecture. I just glanced at Kristina's profile and we are in the SAME city. Yaizu. How cool is that? Sorry, I haven't done Nano in years and when I did do it there was no one in the Tokai area at all. My name's Terrie, btw.

Yay, Kristina, I'm excited that there are other JETs doing this! I love November. Let me know if you want to meet up.

Terrie and Kristina, what are you doing the weekend after next (November 14th and 15th). Want to do a mid-month write-in?

I'm busy that weekend (and every weekend, dear jesus) I'm afraid. There's three JETs in my area doing NaNo too... we may be doing some week-day cafe writing parties, but Fujieda/Shimada/Yaizu may be a bit far for you to get to on a weekday I imagine Ashley.

Just thought I'd come by and say hi... ^_^ I'm writing in Canada but my novel is taking place in Shizuoka City. I lived in Osaka a few years back, and have hosted students from Shizuoka... I love it there. Am going back to visit next spring!

Anyway, hi over there. Good luck! Ganbare!
