Any South St. Louis City writers out there?

I am from South St. Louis and this is my first year doing NaNo. Unlike most of you that have laptops, I have a home computer and that is all so I can't meet up and do any of that fun stuff, everyone else will be doing sadly.

Actually, that's not true. You can still come to write-ins and bring pencil and paper to jot down ideas. Or you could ask a friend if they'd let you borrow their laptop for a few hours. The write-ins aren't just about writing. They're about having a good time with your fellow NaNoers, so don't let the lack of a laptop keep you from saying hi!

silverchild, I am from north st louis county. I used to live in st louis city but moved to the county. this is my first time at the nanowrimo, so we have the same feelings about it. I have a laptop, and I plan on going to at least one of the writing places they go to. hey when you get this how about us being writing buddies? we can help one another out.

Ditto to what Jen the ML says. The Crestwood write-ins might not be too far a drive for you. If you go to those, or the official one in Clayton on Sundays, let me know and I can bring my netbook for you to use. You can either copy it onto a USB drive, or e-mail it to yourself (it has wireless) when you're done for the day.

I'm in Jefferson County. A South County meeting may be doable for me if it's not too late in the day. Crestwood is just too far a drive. Anyone want to meet up in South County somewhere close to I 55/270?

I'm a South City nano! Won it once before a long time ago, then had a pretty lame attempt a few years ago, and this year I'm going for it. I really like writing/reading/studying at the gelato de leone place on South Grand...I would be up for a South City write-in, if my crazy hectic schedule doesn't do me in.

I'm in South City also, first timer at NaNoWriMo.

I'd go to Crestwood except I have a weird work schedule and 45 minute commute from the South Grand area to Edwardsville that makes that a bit impossible.
However, per some of the threads, I'd be up for an evening write in at the gelato place on South Grand if anybody else is interested.
