Would anyone be interested in a South City Write In at all? Perhaps on Saturdays?

I know of the Bread Co. on Grand and then there is the South City Diner and Petra's Hookah Lounge as well on Grand. if anyone else has any ideas on places or a certain day of the week please feel free to add to this small list I have started.

Thanks.

I write at the Bread Co on Hampton a lot because it's closest to my house. Sometimes Murdoch Perk; it's pleasant but does not have many electric outlets, so a power strip is a must. In the South Grand area, Gelateria has wifi I think, and there's MoKaBes. There are also a couple of places in Maplewood, like CooperElla and Stone Spiral. Cairdeas (on Tamm in the Hill area) is nice, but it turns into a restaurant at some point in the day. Kind of confusing to know when it's a coffee house and when a restaurant.
Most of the time I write at home, but sometimes you need a change of scenery! And a good latte. ; )

I just posted on the other South City thread. I really like the South Grand Gelateria. They have wifi and outlets and space and they are not too far from my house (as a non-driver, location matters!). But I would be happy to branch out to something new, too...

though I no longer live in south city, i used to live on Hartford in tower grove south, and a few streets from where i lived was Hartford Coffee. they've got lots of couches and tables and yummy food and such, and people are always in there working on their compys so im guessing they have outlets too (i've never personally worked in there as im usually there with either my toddler siblings or my non-writer best friend. anyway, it would probably be a really good spot for a write-in.

Well since there are so many places out there to pick from would anyone want to meet up this Saturday in the evening at either the South Grand Gelateria place or Mokabe's, even South City Dinner, if you want to write and eat (they are pretty cheap and have good coffee and pie!)

I will try to make it... I go to Mokabe's all the time so I would probably be there anyway. I'll check back to find out what place you pick.

Hey, I haven't heard from anyone about a location. I'll just say I'll be at Mokabe's Saturday evening. It has more space than the gellatto place, and plenty of outlets. We can decide on a different place for next weekend if people prefer, but since no one has said it I'll go head and step up and say Mokabe's Saturday... how about 7pm? If that's too late, let me know.

sorry i missed your post, neonheart. i would have been there, and was planning to go there, but got lazy and went to courtesy diner since i was already over that way. i'm planning to be there this afternoon, at about 3. should be enough time for them to clear away the buffet.

i smoke, but i'll move upstairs or outside if anyone who shows up prefers.

i have a large HP laptop, and i'll most likely be wearing the same black ball cap i'm wearing in my profile pic.
