Hi Missoula Writers,

Our Missoula write-ins will be every Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the large meeting room at the Missoula Public Library on Main Street. The room has tables and chairs that we can arrange as we want as long as we put everything back the way it was when we leave. Snacks and drinks are allowed. There is also a coffee cart in the lobby; I'm not sure of its hours, but I'll check.

The first write-in will be this Sunday, November 1. Those who attend the Midnight Madness (not me!) are definitely encouraged to wake up and show up for the 2:00 p.m. write-in so they can add even more words to their count. We have to beat those evil folks from Saskatchewan after all... Heh.

Let me know if you have any questions or need directions. Also, if you get a chance, say thanks to the Library staff for their generosity in allowing us to use this space.

Thanks,

Julie

Yay! This will be great. I think it'll be much better than in a coffee shop. Thanks library. Thanks Julie. ;)

Does anyone want me to bring my extra laptop to use for the write in?

Hey Missoula! As a Griz-graduate, I just wanted to say hello and wish you all the best of luck this month! :D

I'm in Russia, which is a very long way from Montana and yes, I do miss it... even though I'm from Oregon. I'm regionally challenged until I move back to the States. Hearing about Liquid Planet (best coffee shop on Earth), Finnegans, etc. makes me sort of home-sick. :)

Hi, I have a kid, and he will get bored, but I might try to come to the write-in for a bit. Just wanted to say Hi and that I am here! I'm at this point a "Rebel" i think, but what I am writing now is to help me eventually write a novel. Its a rough rough draft that may contain a lot of non fiction for now. Just want to show myself I can do it. Excited , and procrastinating already! woo hoo!

I just have to say hi to you Montana folks. My son was a Griz and started his business from a business class. I love Montana and thought of spending a couple months out there this fall but he just moved to Salt Lake City. (His business is ski suits so he needed to be near Park City.) I wear a Montana ball cap half the time and named my dog Montana. See? I really do love it out there.

Hearing someone all the way from Russia gave me the guts to check in. Thanks for allowing me to peek in now and then. Sorry that my words will be going to Ashland, Ohio. Maybe next year.....

Aww, nice, thanks for sharing, NightPoet! ^^

I need to recruit more people in the Ronan/Pablo/Polson area so I might be able to either scare up a ride to the Msla activities, or have small meetings around here! xD

Beth (NightPoet00), that's great! Too bad _you're_ not in it, though. Maybe next week we can get you in there.

Darn, you figured me out! :) I could bring my gorillapod, though, and set up the timer.

I will try to make at least one, however, Sundays are not the greatest for me. Will there be any other Missoula area write ins? Good luck, everyone!

The participants at our last write-in ranged from 17 to 55. We would love to have you come join us. We'll be at the Public LIbrary again this coming Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room on the lower level.

So we're going back to the large one?

Yes, Pam from the Library came down late in the afternoon and said that she was sorry that we had had to move and that we would definitely be in the Large Meeting Room next week since we had reserved it first. I told her that we had volunteered to move because our group was smaller, but she was pretty insistent that we get the room we had originally been booked into. She was very nice.

I was also thinking for the next write-in it might be fun to do a couple of "word sprints" - where everyone writes as fast/as much as they can for (say) five minutes. Person with the highest word count in that five minutes wins. And maybe even wins a fun little prize; I'll see what I can put together.

Sooo far behind... D8 But I hope to see you all this weekend! I've been busy, so I haven't been able to make an appearance yet, and I'm quickly running out of chances! XD

Hi everyone.

I won't be able to make it to the write-in today. It's my wife's birthday, and we've made other plans. : )

I do plan to be there next week. It's my birthday then, but I don't want to miss the last write-in of the year!

Good luck with the writing, and I'll see you then.

Kim
