Ouch! Washing, kids and no plot. I think I would have given up already. ;)
All adds to the fun, and there's only the one kid. I've got to mow the lawns today, that's usually good for a plot twist or two. The main plot arrived promtly with the decision to actually sit down and get started.
Got my total by 1am - then had to give blood today. Ohh, tired! I'm hoping to get 2-3k per day as Thursday's going to be a write off with Guy Fawkes.
Wow, four of us! I think this is the first year I've taken part with local company! Shall we start planning a cafe meeting? Are you up for the commute R-C? ;-)
Boy, this whole NaNo thing is really chewing into my afternoon nap time. I'm aiming for 2-3k a day also. I need to get ahead this week because its back to work for me next Monday.
I'm glad you found your plot Maggenpye. I could never even consider doing this without having the plot all planned out in advance.
It's more character driven than plot dependant. If I try to force them into a plot they don't like, my characters will just look at me funny and talk about silly things.
I've been chatting to another author over the last few months, he was complaining that his last burst of enthusiasm gained him a page and a half of conversation - about socks. Not much use for a time-travel mystery!

Ha ha! That's exactly what my characters will do if I DON'T force them into a plot. If I don't have the story all worked out to begin with, I will just procrastinate forever. Mind you, I'm struggling with my share of time-travelling-socks stories too. ;)
Got bugger all done last night - all the 'move the plot forward' conversations arrived after I'd given up and gone to bed. Blood donation and a busy day doesn't make for late night coherence. I'm going to have to turn off my inner editor very firmly when I go over the 500 words I got out last night.
Off for a walk around Pandora, then coffee and maybe a couple of writing hours before the kidlet gets home from school. Have to get caught up now because I'm back to work tomorrow. Somehow, I think November may have been the wrong time to ask for more hours!
Just bumping the thread to touch base with everyone. I caught up to my target count just before midnight last night. More of the plot keeps revealing itself as I go along, plot elements dropping into place, triggering other developments. Ideas I'd abandoned as outrageous ages ago are now making perfect sense.
Especially since the 1stMFC's (there are two) biological grandad has decided to be a nasty old bugger after all.
Ahhh, conflict.
So, how's it going with you? Or youse, as the teachers tell us we'll all be saying eventually anyway.

Yes, I am.
Busy training the kid to feed, clothe and look after herself during November (she's almost 11, it's about time really) but I'm here again.

I am in Napier too. Hello.
Far too nice a day to be sitting around writing don't you think?

Yes, too busy catching up on the washing!
I'll get started tonight, as soon as I think of a plot :-)
