Hi Guys,
I'm in Long Beach. Wonder if anyone is writing here. We could maybe to a write-in at Borders or someplace else. I've been blocked for months now and am counting on Nano breaking me free.

I'm in Long Beach... first time doing NaNo but I'm really hoping it gives me the kick-start I need.

In South Gate area but Long Beach certainly sounds more appealing and hell of a lot closer than this Westside NaNoWriMo dominance in LA. Let me know if you organize a write in, I'd love to come.

I live in LB! Would love to meet up with anyone - there's a great sandwich/coffee place at 10th/Redondo that I've done studying/writing at before, or I'll go elsewhere. It's SO much easier to write when you've got someone suffering with you.

I hung with the Torrance Nanos today but I live in Long Beach. Anyone up for getting together tomorrow evening somewhere in Long Beach?

Hi ya'll. Send me some nano mail if anyone wants to meet Monday evening for awhile. My normal Monday class is canceled so I'm eager to do a write-in instead Let me know if anyone's interested. Long Beach has a ton of places to meet up, so anywhere is fine.

Borders
Portfolio
Barnes & Noble (the Towne Center or the one on PCH and 2nd Street)
The Library (coffee place on Broadway)
The Royal Cup (I've never been here, but I've heard it's a great place to sit for awhile)

What do you guys think? Where's good?

I'm thinking of hitting up Portfolio at 4th and Junipero tonight. There's a ton of electrical outlets there so I think that might be a good place. They don't have a ton of group tables there, but I can try and get one if I know others are planning on coming. If I remember correctly they have a nice amount of electrical outlets so that's good. Anyway, let me know if you plan on coming...

Maybe around 6:30 this evening? If people respond I'll try for a group table...if no one responds - I'm getting my own. ;-)

I'm usually in Cypress during most of the week so Long Beach isn't too far from there.

LBC FO LIFE!!!

Unforch, my schedule is super-erratic, but PLEASE post when you're planning to be out and about, and I'd LOVE to join you!!

Might I suggest Peet's on 2nd Street? I know it's kinda small and the outlets are limited, but it sounds like so few people can make it out at the same time anyway, and the coffee is the BEST there.

I'll be sure to post if I ever plan to go!!

I'm in North Long Beach (Cali Heights). Would love to participate in a write-in. My schedule's fairly erratic as well, but I'l keep an eye out and hope to join in soon!
Which reminds me, it's time to replace my exploded battery for my laptop :(

Hey all!
I'm on Catalina Island and the boat comes in near shoreline and pine. It's been a while since I've had time for coffee, but my fav is Coffee Haven on broadway and gaviota. Not sure about outlets but free wireless! the lattes are awesome. It's a pretty small place but there's nice over stuffed chairs and a few tables. Hope I can make it over for some write ins! I'll let you know when I'll be in town ;)

I was over at Royal Cup (10th/Redondo) this afternoon, and mentioned NaNoWriMo to the owner; he said if we'd like to meet up there, he can give us the back room - which is really big! - or otherwise accommodate us (there's an area in back that's a bit sequestered and quieter). I've done a lot of studying at RC before, and it's a very chill place that plays jazz and has a big sandwich/panini menu besides the coffee drinks (veggie paninis are great). Also free wi-fi, and some outlets, and comfy couches and also tables and chairs. I'm ALL ABOUT supporting local independent businesses, and RC is a great one with nice workers, too. Weeknights they're open until 10, if anyone wants to meet up. PM me if you do, or we can set something bigger up?

Karen and I will be heading that way (to the Royal Cup on 10th and Redondo in Long Beach) at 7:00 this evening. If any other Nanos are in the area, stop by and say hi.

We're a little behind so a couple of extra hours of writing tonight would help out.

How funny, I was at Royal Cup earlier today with my fellow Nano friend. May the words and coffee flow freely for you, Rob!

Rob and I just got back from the Royal Cup. What a great place! The couch we sat on is very comfy. I am happy to say I am caught up. I'm trying to pace myself this year so I don't have a repeat of last year, when I had to write 40+ pages during the Night of Writing Dangerously.

I plan to go back there. The house we just bought is right around the corner (sorta) on 7th Street. I suspect this place will become a regular hang-out for me once we move.

Anyone up for a Friday night write-in in LB? The Royal Cup sounds good...I've never been there. Anywhere else we've mentioned is good too. If anyone plans on meeting up Friday night, PM me!

Hey LB novellists!

Is there going to be a write-in tonight? If so, can someone please, pretty please post it in "The Grand Write-In Thread" so I can put it on the calendar ASAP? It makes it easier for me to post all the events if they're in one thread.

You guys are awesome, keep novelling hard :)

It was great to meet with some fellow Nanos last night. I got a couple thousand words written. Not as much as I'd hoped for, but I've never written as much as I hope. Still, a pretty good effort.

Hope to see everyone again soon.

I'm going to a writers' conference in Temecula today. If anyone else is going, be sure to tell me you're a fellow Nano.

I had an on-track first week but fell behind in week two. I'm going to need to be inspired during week three. If anyone in Long Beach is doing anything, let me know and I'll be there. Evenings work best for me.

I'm going to be spending the rest of the month here in Long Beach. Borders tonight? I don't really know what else is around here. I'm in Belmont Shores. Or if anyone else wants some non-NaNo distraction I'm up for that, too! I'm dogsitting and don't know anyone in this area.

I've got to finish tomorrow (life gets hectic on Thanksgiving) and I've got 6K words to go. I'm up for a writein either at the Royal Cup or Borders tonight (Tuesday). If anyone is going out, let me know.
