i had my own mini countdown going until midnight. i perfected my playlist (hello alternative rock! :) ), and pulled out my headphone, brew a pot of coffee, and i'm heading into chapter 2 right now. anyone else?? |

I only made it about an hour and 500+ words. Getting the first paragraph is always my most difficult part, however, so at least I got that done. Now I am thinking of a flash-back from 1500 to 1066. That is where the story seems to be taking me. We'll see what happens

I've only written about 10 words today--been researching issues in my time period such as why did people move. My daughter says to stop researching and just write. I've also been assembling the genealogy of my family--the real people interspersed with ones I am making up where there are gaps in the line. I realized I would be perpetually confused if I didn't take the time to write the characters own, especially as I am trying to write an epic. It would have helped if I had heard of this thing more than a week ago,and done my character list in advance!
