Hey everyone,
I actually live in Marin (out in Bolinas) but I come out to Petaluma a lot to go shopping for groceries and so on.
I was thinking maybe of a write-in at Starbucks on North McDowell, the one in the shopping center with Trader Joe's.
Like from 7.30 til 9.30 (closing)?
I can bring a plug strip!
I'm new to NaNoWriMo, but I'm very excited! I'd love to meet a few other authors. Please let me know if you want to come though, I'd like to have at least 3 people?
Thanks!
Alyssa

Hi Alyssa,
I'm already committed to going to the write-in at the Central Branch of the Santa Rosa Library. I suggest you also put this in the Marin Thread, just in case. You might catch some Novato writers who would be willing to come to Petaluma. I think it's the Novato Narrows that makes it seem like a long distance, but it's actually shorter than when I drive from Petaluma to Santa Rosa. Maybe we need to break through that psychological barrier!
Good luck, and I hope you have some takers!

Hi Alyssa,
I'd love to meet up for a write-in Tuesday. Most of the write-ins are too early for me or fall on work days so this would work well me if you're still up for it.
I look forward to meeting you

Hey Oliver -
Aw, when no one replied at first I thought no one was coming so I made other plans! I have a lot to do, so I could only make it for like 9-9:30, so it'd be more like a Writing Chat then a Write-In, lol. If you want to, that's cool! Otherwise, maybe we can try to schedule a later-evening meeting somewhere next week. I am definitely not going to make it to anything in the mornings, haha.

No worries Alyssa,
My laptop took a dive and I won't have it back for a few days anyways. I was just going to have to hand write my work if not at work or home. Next week would be great. Let me know what day works for you and we'll set it up.

haha well it looks like we made the right choice then!
----------Actually, I went there today anyway (to get coffee) and discovered that one of the baristas is also a NaNoer! Small world! So, he'd like to attend our write-in next week too. Yay, we're up to 3!
I will try and get a date soon, and then we can try and get some people to come over from Novato or up north...you know it's not that far from Santa Rosa everyone!

Is there anyone here at the library now or am I the lone NaNoer? O.o I came in a little late and haven't found any NaNo T-shirts...but then again, I'm not wearing mine either right now. If anyone cares to join, I'm in my red jacket and my lavender blue crumpler back pack is kind of hard to miss. I'm in the back of the library by the way, close to the reference books (291-399).

Hey AlyssaPandaEyes,
I'd love to meet you at Starbucks by TJ's if it works with my schedule! My suggestion is--when you have settled on a date and time, post it as a new thread, maybe listing the name (Starbucks?), town & date in the heading to catch peoples attention. It helps to give the exact location for people who aren't famliar with Petaluma.
Great to have so much action happening in our forum!
