Hi all,
I had a heap of fun writing with you lot who came to the Coffee Club today. And it was great to see some people were so focused on their writing that they even missed items off their bill. So just in-case you find time to read this post, here is what was still outstanding when I left. (They were kind enough to let this ride until we are back again under the name of Nanowrimo) and for my part, I found their service, support and attitude excellent.
1 Long Black Mug $4.70
1 Choc Shake $5.90
1 Flat White Mug $5.00
1 Large Cappuccino 2 Sugar $4.00
If you own any of these can you please claim it by replying to this post so we know when they are all covered.
If you won't be at the Write-In next Sunday, please let me know in your reply and I will fix it up for you.
Thanks,
Tim.

Hmm... oddly quiet in this thread...
Well, it wasn't me - I wasn't there!
I remember when a large coffee cost about $2.90... sigh. The good old days.

The Coffee Club have been very good to us the last 2 years and have even agreed to sponsor our NaNo endevour by dontating prizes so that we can make this years NaNo an exciting event for everyone to be part of.
They are also very good about letting us take up a good chunk of their restaurant for 10+ hours during write ins and let us plug in our laptops to their electricity.
I would really appreciate it if those people who forgot to pay would speak up or come along to Sunday's write in and cover their outstanding debts.
In future I think it would be best if people paid for their coffee, meals etc as they are ordered so that we can avoid this kind of mishap in the future.
Thank you.

I was waiting to reply to this in case someone else owned it and saw my reply and though, "doesn't matter, someone else will pay for it!" but I did have two choc shakes. One I definitely paid for at the counter, and the second I ordered at the counter with food, so unless they decided to charge me for just the food and not the shake then it shouldn't be mine, but yeah, if it turns out no one else had one then I guess I'll pay for it next week?
A few people might have seen me with a shake and I just wanted to clear that up so no one thinks I was trying to score it for free (:

I'm sure the missed items were just an oversight - it's not always easy to remember what you had over the course of 9 or 10 hours!
I'm happy for those who missed paying for their drinks to settle up this Sunday with the Coffee Club (I don't mind if you don't own up publicly, as long as it's paid for!). If you think the drink was yours but can't make this Sunday, send me a PM and we'll sort something out.
Tim - apologies for leaving without checking exactly how much was left on the bill! I'll ask more carefully next time.
Thanks everyone. Hopefully we'll all be more careful next time, and avoid this kind of thing!

Okay, I’ve been thinking about this today and I can’t understand how this shake could be mine. I ordered food with it which had a base price of $10, and I got extras for it costing $3 and $4, and my total was around the $22-$24 mark. That’s not exact to the cent or anything, but around the right mark.
Whether it turned out to be mine or not I’d be happy to pay for it just in case, because either way it’s unfair for someone to pay for like five drinks they didn’t have, but it’s unlikely that I’ll make it there tomorrow. And yeah... basically I just don’t understand why they would decide not to bill me for the shake when I was ordering and paying at the counter to stop this exact thing from happening.
And I have now shown how much I over-think things :p
----------I also feel like it's now obvious how much sugar I've had today from the long and rambly sentences that don't make much sense, wheee.
