I quit last night when I hit the daily 1667 word count goal.
What is your daily word count goal?
Did you reach it last night?

My daily goal for NaNo is 3000 words, not the minimum to reach the 50K for NaNo. I'm trying to write a full, complete rough draft, and for my genre, that means I need to write 90-100K. But, I didn't start yet. About to start today. Last night, I was still finishing the rough draft for the previous WIP. Finally managed that at about 1:30 am--the second time we hit that time in the night. LOL. And then I needed sleep, because I wrote over 5K words yesterday. The brain shut off.
So...off to the races today. Good work on reaching your goal last night. You're ahead of the game! Especially if you write more today.

I hit 2000 last night :) which was no small feat considering I didn't get back from a halloween party until 3am post-daylight-savings. Ouch.
But I got it! Now everything else today is gravy.

2237 and 1881 of that was at the Midnight Write-in. I came home at 3 am (corrected time), couldn't sleep, and got on it again about 3:30. Fixed some typos and spelling and wrote the other 350 odd words.

Ugh, hardly. I'm not a late night person. Got home from a party around 12am, started writing until 2am (after time change) and only got to 1010 words before I couldn't stop yawning and rubbing my eyes. Daily goal is 2000 :/
I'll try again today, maybe I can make up for last night.

My barest minimum goal was to reach 1,667 words, but I managed to eek out a whopping 3,529 during the midnight write-in last night. Now I'm just about to write some more to help stay ahead of the game. ;)

I went to bed at 1.7k last night. I try to get at least 2k a day, but if I can do 2.5k or 3k a day, that would be wonderful!

I didn't make my daily goal of 3.3k (I'm aiming for 100K total) or even the NaNo 1.7K to reach 50K, but I did get 1.3K. Pretty good, considering I spent most of the evening socializing rather than typing. :D
After work, I'll try to push that to 3 or 4K by the time I finish for the night.
Good luck, and I'll see you at the finish line!

My goal is to write my scenes as 1.2k - 1.5k two or three times a day. Last night I got my story started with 1,438 so... I met part of my goal. I just woke up, and am about to start writing again.

I have weird daily goals just because there are certain days I anticipate not being able to write at all, so my goal for Nov 1st is 4K. I did a bit over 6K at the write-in and am currently wondering if I can make it to something between 8 & 10K before the end of today...considering all the stuff that's supposed to happen....that is a lofty goal!

I finished up last night with just over 2K. Hopefully another 2K this evening.
I need to bulk up on the weekends because of my travel time to work and back. Currently I'm commuting almost 2 hours each way to work and back. Up at 5:30am back home at 7pm, bed at 10. Plus add in that I have a 20mo old and a 6 week old who leave me little time for writing.
But, laptop and a sack lunch during the week will help get around 1000 words in before I get home.
It's all a matter of how your prioritize.
Good Luck to everyone!!!!

I don't think I have daily goal past 1667. I just write what comes to me. But last night I hit 6537 before my eyes crossed and I called it quits around 6am. Now I'm updating all my online information, and then I'm back to the keyboard to write, write, write!!! The way I'm looking at it, I worked off a weekend this month, last night. Now, if I take it... that's another matter! :-D

10237 as of about five minutes ago. 9371 of that was at the write-in. My daily goal is 3000, so I'm a couple days ahead. Which is good because I'm moving and car shopping this week! I'm hoping to stay a couple days ahead all month!

Had to pick up my teenager from a party last night, so I was vertical at 1:00- not usual for me. My computer has been commandeered this last week, so I got out old-fashioned paper and pen and set to. A small start of 250 words, which I brought up to 2319 this afternoon. My goal for NaNo is 2,000 words each day, over 25 days. It is good to be a little ahead.

You guys ready for my final tally for today?
15071! wow!
You think I can write 5000 tomorrow and count that for my "wrote 20k in one weekend" for the checklist?

You make my 3500 words feel lazy and insignificant. The bunch of slackers.
I say YES! Since we started on a Sunday, Monday should count for the weekend. If I was siting on 15K after 23 hours, I'd want Monday to count as a weekend!

Wow! 15K in one day is amazing. That just makes my hands hurt thinking about it!
I made it to 2670 by the end of the day, which I was pleased with considering I was robbed of most of my planned writing time by two little munchkins who wanted to go ride bikes at the park. It's really pathetic when mom is asking to stay home and watch t.v. and the kids are begging to go outside.

WOW! I have a goal of 2K per day, and I didn't even come close! Husband worked, kid was not on her best behavior (to put it nicely), and I wasn't really able to get in front of a computer for more than 30 minutes yesterday. I did crank out a little over 600, but I am going to make good use of my lunch hour and my daughter's bedtime tonight to try and catch up.

wow! soooo glad everyone's doing so well. i'm embarrassed to say what my word count is at the moment, but i will make a big comeback! unfortunately this year the first two weekends of november are screwy for me, so i plan on making it up at write-ins during the week and the second half of the month...

Easy, yesterday -- 2,020. I hope to hit about 2k a day, but will just take it a day at a time and hope for the best. I have carpal tunnel and am slathering on the aspercreme (scentless, lol thank goodness) and popping pain killers.
Tonight might be harder--didn't get to write during lunch (working through) and tonight will be going to the Flying Saucer. Am not positive this will work well for me... LOL! But, my goal for Nano is to meet fellow writers in addition to writing, so am going for it. What the hey...

Ha! Arwood, you're like me last year. I had about 20k on the first day. This year, I'm taking a slower pace. 3,648, before midnight, last night. Haven't really started for today, yet. Am fighting with myself over what I want to do, next. (-.-)

It's not beautiful, but I did make my first-day goal -- 50K. (You can read an example in the excerpt area of my page.) Meanwhile, I'm rolling on toward my final goal of more than 999,999 words.

I got a little more written after the write-in, so I was probably right around 2800 for day one. I had really wanted to be at 5k, but since my goal this month is to actually finish a novel, rather than to write way more than 50k, being ahead of 1667 works.
@marienbadmylove: *faints* You are planning to eat and sleep this month, right?
