I basically slept through the last part of October and realized belatedly that I'm not only responsible for myself this month, but I need to prod people into keeping up with their wordcount quota, too. Ahah.
So! To make up for lost time, in case anyone's mentoring and is interested in starting a discussion -- what will you guys be doing for your newbies? Since some changes in my schedule have made going online to chat a little more difficult, I set up a mini-blog (why yes I name my topic blogs after RO stats, because I am unoriginal and have a warped sense of humor) for them. Still trying to come up with other ways to help.
How about you guys? How's it going so far? Newbies, have your mentors contacted you yet (or are they, like me, only now waking up)? How have your first two days been like? What would you like to see more of in the future?
P.S. Everyone who's contacted me about mentorship -- please check your Nanomail, I'll send you mail in a bit. ♥ Notifs seem to be broken -- at least they are, for me -- so discussing things elsewhere would probably be a good idea.

I'm doing most of my bugging through NaNoMail, as requested by my newbies. And Y!M, when I manage to catch them online. Blogging's a good idea, though... but if I create one at this late date, I know I'll be sucked into much procrastination fixing up the layout and all.
But anyway, I send a NaNoMail out a couple times a week or so.

XDDD I did the lazy thing and used WP's quick theme install feature. I tend to be really fussy about layouts if I allow myself to be, so this year I'm trying to force myself to focus on the actual blogging.
It's pretty nice! It helps kick things off when I need to get into a writing mood, so it's a benefit for me too.
