How awesome! Thanks for sharing :D I don't tend to listen to music whilst I write, but some great tracks always get me in the mood beforehand. And it helps that I've not heard any of this stuff before (aside from Shatner's 'Common People', which is a work of genius) - All too often when I'm listening to my own Spotify playlist in its 300+-track pretend-radio-station glory, I just end up singing and dancing along to familiar favourites :)
----------2006: So You've Fallen in Love - 1,477 words.
2007: Not-So-Lonely Road of Faith - 11,522 words.
2008: Faux - 13,366 words.
2009: The Coleridge Tape.

Thanks for sharing this :D I'm listening to it. Interesting what different music writers find inspiring!

I should probably admit now that I've been dancing round my room for the last hour. Instead of writing. Oh dear.

I have the problem that my brain will choreograph to any music that can be choreographed to, so all I can listen to is the Tomb Raider Anniversary soundtrack. It seems to help though!

Must say, loving the playlist! :)
But cannot possibly write to it, when I actually have to apply my mind to something, I can only listen to music where I don't care about the lyrics (or there are no lyrics) and I don't feel like dancing to it. So a lot of Air and instrumentals/Soundtrack music for me! Alternatively songs that are really chilled out and I've heard a billion times anyhow. Read selected Snow Patrol etc (currently playing)
