I am beyond excited about hitting 10199 about half an hour ago. Never could get past the 7K mark in future years. If all goes well at this pace I should hit the 20 or 25K mark before my wedding on Saturday, not write all week while on my honeymoon (although I will want to and bringing a notebook just in case and type it all up on my return Sunday the 15th.) So here's a cheer for everyone else who has hit 10,000 words already!!!!

wow! you're amazing! 10k already and you're taking a week off for a honeymoon?!

I am not at 10k yet, mostly because I am doing things like this instead:

I'm at 10, 846 right now, but going on my past experience I'm going to be far ahead, and then suddenly hit a wall partway through the month and get like 25 words a day. I'm trying to avoid that & to get a nice word count cushion now to help me if it happens!

Fortunately for my writing... (being positive here) I was hit while riding home from the write in last night. I was riding through Central Square at the time. I'm okay. No concussion. Bicycle is meh needs repair. And I was ordered to stay home from work today and tomorrow. So lots of noveling time while my bruises and scrapes heal. Like I said I'm ok! I went to the hospital immediately and was checked out. So yes, I"m crazy mixing wedding and NANOWRIMO but being crazy is what it takes to be in NANOWRIMO to begin with right?

wait WHAT

what happened?! wow I'm glad you're okay. just scrapes and bruises?

it takes more balls than I have to bike in this city.

(p.s.... you know you're a nanoer when your first reaction when getting hit on a bike is "oh good now I have lots of time to write!")

Grace,

I worked as a bike messenger downtown last winter. I also been car free in this city for 2 years, I've learned to bounce and get back up! But yes, back to the writing! Enough internets for me for one night!

I hit 10k yesterday (yes day 1) and have to take a day to recover (I did a lot of writing this weekend in general). So tomorrow is a make up day. 5k is cake walk compared to 10k so I'm not worried.

Pfft, what's too much writing? ;)

Sorry to hear that you got hit, but nice to have an excuse to write, right? ^-^

My solution has become toting around a spare notebook during school so I can get some (if barely any, but a word is a word!) writing done, then typing it up. I'm at school till 7:30 till Wednesday, then later because I'm doing the fall play, but it's over on Friday so that will be a relief.

Congrats on 10k! :) I'm only on 2k so far...need to write now! xD And it's nine thirty. -cracks knuckles- Okay, off to Write or Die I go. (Stop procrastinating, self!)

I've hit the 10k mark as well, which is awesome. I only have time to write about 3-4 days a week if I'm going to get all my other stuff done, so I'm making the most of the days I do have :)
