Anyone in Bellevue want to form a writing group/pep squad support team. I want people who want to get together, talk about ideas, cheer for eachother when we want to quit and generally be an open and supportive team. I'm available for write ins on the weekends or weekdays after 5pm. I live right near the Crossroads mall.

Anyone interested?

Crossroads on evenings/weekends sounds good to me.

That's great! Where and when?? I write all the time but I've never put myself to this kind of deadline before and I'm a little nervous...

Don't be nervous. You're ahead of me, and this is the sixth time I've done this. In fact, the first year I tried Nano, I was 20,000 words behind at one point and still ended up at 60,000. So you're in pretty good shape, all things considered.

I'm happy to offer moral support even to those who don't need it, though.

As far as when and where, I don't know Crossroads very well beyond the fact that it's about a ten minute bus ride away from me. If you live nearby, you probably have a better idea of writing-friendly locations than I do. Presumably there's a coffee shop or two. I'll leave it up to you.

Wednesday nights aren't great for me, but other than that I'm fairly open.

How are your Saturday Mornings? My fiance and I usually go to the Crossroads Mall around 11 or so. The Starbucks in front of Half Price Books (that everyone in this area seems to be talking about) is a quiet place to settle in for a while. Beyond that, we might be able to find someplace else as well.

If I get enough people, toward the end of a deadline I want to hold a writing party at my house and cook a big meal and have everyone over to write and have some fun!

The Top Foods dining area there used to let my son's D&D group meet there (until someone complained about the content of their sessions... ) I suspect they might be open to having a group of writers work there. There's also the advantage of coffee & food right there...

Well, I live not too far from the Mall myself. Maybe I should just have everyone come to my place...

Ok, Well, I'll be at the Starbucks next to Half Price Books Saturday, November 04 from 11:30 am for a few hours. Anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome. I'll be wearing black pants and a turquoise top.

Are you there tonight or on Saturday? I might be able to stop by a while this evening as I'm only a 15 minute walk. Unfortunately I'm tied up all day this Saturday. I guess regardless, with your timing, I missed you. :(

Is the Top Foods dining area open 24 hours? I know the grocery store is... if so, that would be awesome. :) I'm having trouble finding a nice place to work around here that's not home (and not a restaurant table with distracting entrees waiting to be eaten on it, etc) after about 8pm.

I was at the Crossroads HPB/Starbucks area a few nights ago, didn't see any outlets for my laptop, but I may not have been looking hard enough.

Are you planning to be there this Saturday (i.e. tomorrow, the 7th)? If so I'll probably drop by.

I don't have a duck, but I do have a shirt that says 'Dragon' on it, which is close enough, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, I'm officially behind. My fiance got called into work this weekend and I got caught up with relatives. For anyone following the thread:

I will be having a pot luck write in @ my house on SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21rst. I'll be making food and hope people can come, stay in and share encouragement. I'll also be at Starbucks in the mall on Saturday, November 14th from 11:30 or so for a few hours. I encourage people to come write with me!

Ok, I'm here @ Starbucks, sitting at 17k (almost)...
I'm so behind. I need to spend serious time to catch up.
