I imagine some of you at least are hopeless Bibliophages such as myself and are unable to stop devouring books no matter what else is going on in your lives...so I was wondering what everybody is reading. Personally I got through the last 50 pages of Mad Ship by Robin Hobb this evening and plan to start the first book of Jim Butcher's Dresden files tonight...or perhaps tomorrow as the alarm goes off at 6 am as it is...

Ahhh. . the Dresdon Files. I'm nearing the end of book 3, but have set it aside for this month. Good series. My favourite character is Bob so far!

Have you read anything else by Robin Hobb? The Farseer Trilogy is by far my favourite series of all time.

My wife hyped me to her last year and I started with the Farseer. It was tres good and I'm looking forward to the next time I dive into her world. Personaly, I'm not enjoying the Liveship trilogy nearly as much and want to get back to 'ol Fitzy in the Tawny man but still it is one of the better books I've read this year. A little too much emphasis on the being prime and proper for my taste but then I got thrown off that when I went through a classics kick nearly a decade ago. I'v ehad it up to 'ere with gala lunches and balls an such.

@Miss Krista
I have had those books for a few years. Someone told me to watch True Blood. I hadn't read the books at taht time but I noticed at the start it stated it was based on books by Charlaine Harris.
I knew the name was familiar.
Its kinda spoilt books 1 nad two and not sure if I should read 3 or wait for the series as I have so many other things to read.

Myself, I am reading The Three Pillars of Zen by Philip Kapleau Roshi.

For the bus ride to and from work I am currently listening to Richard Gere read The Tibetan Book of the Dead.

Yeah, even when I can't read I have audiobooks on.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, WAY better then the movie as most books are. It's a shorter novel, but it's well written and amazingly funny.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

well done mysterygirl154. You win.....one word against your word count.

The BBC did do a tv series that was pretty good back in the 80's

But yeah, that movie was terrible. I walked out of it. Alan Rickman had the perfect voice for Marvin tho.

Yes, I've watched True Blood, too, Paul. It's why my friend insists I read the books. Apparently, the tv show strays ALOT from the original storyline.

Cool I read Endor's game in September and loved it. Not sure why so many people say that was disturbing...I wish I had the wherewithal to act like Endor did when I was a kid.

Just started "World War Z" by Max Brooks, and then I'll be checking out "The Undead and Philosophy. Chicken Soup for the Soulless".

Zombies may not be the theme for NaNo this year, but it's always the theme at my house.

I've currently got two books on the go: The Drums of Autumn - Diana Gabaldon, Proust and the Squid - Maryanne Wolf (non fiction) and I just finished: Stephen King: On Writing (got some good ideas from that book).

Finished My Dresden File book on Friday and loved it. Then I started "This Way Something wicked comes" and after twenty pages I put it aside. Man Bradbury's style is weird. If that guy cn be succesful writer than any of us can.

I started the Deathgate Cycle book 1 today...heard a lot about it but not getting my hopes up.
