Happy Wednesday! I just made my goal for the day (2k words for 12k total) by 7 am. Yay! I write best in the morning, so if I don't get to my goal before work, I often just won't. I wish I could keep going, but I have to get ready for work. Darn job...

How's everyone doing today?

Morning!
Wanted to be at 10K yesterday, but the words wouldn't flow as they had been.
Work interferes. Children interfere. But I'm determined to stay ahead!

My goal for today is to add at least 5k words to my current total. Since I spent most a yesterday sleeping I didn't get much done. Though I'm feeling better today so a writing I shall go!

Been shuffling between awake and asleep since 5am. Dunno why, lol. Usually I sleep solidly 'til 730am. My only goal for the morning is to finish chapter twelve, and after the meeting of the minds last night, this chapter will end up a bit longer than originally intended.

Well, off to the races my friends. I'll post to the blog around lunch-time with a progress report. Happy Noveling, y'all!

i wanted to be at 10,000 last night but i got up this morning and hit that mark =] this is my first year with nano, and i don't want to overwork in the beginning and then hit a wall half way through the month, so i think today is going to be a light day. i am at one of my favorite parts though, so it might be hard to resist. i wouldn't mind hitting 15,000 by tomorrow night though =]

I am still doing horribly. Haven't been at my apartment long enough to even be able to sit and write! I'm hoping I will crank out a ton of words at the write in on Thursday, and when I'm in my apartment on Saturday.

I can do it! Hopefully.

I'm working on my lunch break, trying to give myself a little more cushion than I have the first three days. Still not convined I have 175 pages worth of plot here, but I really can't argue with the way its naturally laying out, so I just have to stick with it. I'll be fighting with it at the end, but maybe that's just an invitation to go some place REALLY unexpected.

It's sort of taking shape, and I'm finding it easier to keep writing for a longer period of time than at first. The pharmacy took forever to fill some prescriptions so I sat in my car and wrote. I'm writing longhand and counting the words every page or so, putting a large distinctive mark after every hundred so I don't lose track if someone comes along and surprises me.

There I was last night, happily writing away and drinking my tea in the cafe when in walked the most intriguing person I had seen in a long time. I watched him for a few minutes before he walked out of my veiw again and then I realized something. He had walked away with my train of thought in his pocket. At least I'm assuming that's where it went because he had a nifty pocket watch and I figure my train of thought jumped in there with the pocket watch. I ended up spending most of the evening in a long hot bath reading instead of writing.

The good news is that I'm back on track today, and while still behind, catching up more and more every hour. yes I should be working, but I need to do something while my slow computer runs macros, so I write a few lines here and there.

The better news is that last night left me with another idea for a story that I can play with once I'm done with this one!

Hi wrimos -
I'm sitting in a comfy chair at the library in Hampton. I just met my 2,000 goal and am taking a break to check out the forums. It was fun for me to read at the top of this thread that others have picked this nice round number for a daily goal. I'm stuck here until at least 4, so theoretically I could write some more. That's theoretically; in practice, I will probably play sudoku online for a while to clear my head!
Is anybody else having hugely weird dreams this week? My subconscious is working overtime.

I'm about two days behind due to the death of my hard drive, but I'm hoping my laptop's issues will be resolved tomorrow so I can catch up! My dead hard drive + laptop are with a tech teacher from my school who should have a DVD with all of my filed on it to give to me tomorrow. I'm expecting my new hard drive to arrive here at any minute.

So . . . today's an optimistic day.

Except, of course, I received a new class assignment. I have a graphic novel due in two weeks. >_<

Completely missed day 1 due to family commitments, but I'm not going to complain about 3,000+ words on day 4. It feels good to be nanowrimo-ing. My only complaint...my feet are cold. Write on, dudes! T.

got some writing done this afternoon but not much a whole 705 words. You ever just get one of those scenes that just don't go anywhere?? That's me right now. Time to take in some of that cool crisp "snow is on its way" air outside.

I'm sitting in the lounge at UNHManch, listening to my noveling playlist. Hopefully I will be able to get some actual writing done instead of this "homework" crap. I'm so far behind. D:

I have fewer words than I'd like, but hey. I'm making progress. This week is very busy because it's the last week of the quarter (I teach high school), and I've got class this weekend, and... well, I don't know when I'll un-busy myself. But it's cool. I'd like to crack 6000 words today, so I'd better get back to work!

Juggling a teaching career, graduate school, and a novel... while walking on a tightrope called life. I love it.

Cheers to everyone else in the circus!

This says it all about my regress to progress:

But things are better now and I think progress will speed up from here!

Well, while not quite at my daily goal I'm progressing much faster and easier this year than I did last year! Daily goal being, of course, 2000 a day. Although, then again, for someone who really didn't start writing until last night I guess I'm doing pretty dang well. :)
Hoping that on Friday during down time (I'm back to driving a special needs bus, and we have to sit for 3 hours on Friday while waiting for it to be time to get our student again...early release day and stupid to go all the way home only to have to turn around and head back) I'll get a lot done, but sadly I fear that I will likely find myself in conversation with the monitor on my bus instead. Hopefully I'll find I'm able to tune him out!
My poor laptop is seriously struggling to keep working for me, and I'm using my jumpdrive to save to every few sentences so that I can at least have most of what I write saved. I'm on the new home computer right now, and that helps immensley as well as it's easy to work on a nice big screen....except that facebook and worlds of warcraft online keep calling me....
Ok, so procrastination time at least for a little bit....off to play warcraft!

Pathetic. A measly 2865 total, and it's even more drivelly than what I wrote earlier. I won't even think about how far behind I am. But it's the first I've written since Monday, so that's a plus. I'll try to catch up this weekend.

The problem is my job. I'm right in the middle of major push, and I'm spending my days glued to a monitor and trying to fix balky diagrams, broken tables, and execrable techno-speak. (Why does every noun have to be capitalized? Why can't they use "that" now and then? What's wrong with saying "check" instead of "verify," "ensure," or "validate?") My tolerance for frustration is low at the best of times, and the computer gods seem to be stuck on frustrating this week. ARGH!
