I hope to be there--writing at home is driving me crazy, too many distractions.

It really does, doesn't it? Every single word I've written has been out of the house.

OK, I'm supposed to attend tonight. In my head, I said I would go. But my lazy inner self is like, "nooo, stay home. Catch up on the weekend... play with your puppy. It's so sad being away from her all day and then to purposely stay away at night just because you must write..."

I realize, I need someone to zap me with a bit of sense or kick my ass. Something.

But, uh, I should be there. In a heather gray sweater bearing lavender sorority letters and glumly staring at the Starbucks menu.

I'll be there! I'll be there! Yay! :) I'm managing to get just enough done writing at home but know I'll get a lot more done out! Not only will there be no distractions from husband and children - my laptop isn't setup with the internet. I did this intentionally to keep from distracting myself while out writing! :)

Have a great day all. Looking forward to tonight.

I was considering coming until I got called into work from 2:30-11 (hotel reservations). But Megan and I are planning on the Tustin/Orange write-in on Friday night. No hubby to worry about that night as he's the backstage manager for a play that opens that night.

(shameless plug) Go see The Green Room! It's at the Artists Center in Santa Ana and runs for the next 3 weekends. Racy, provocative show about 4 college kids waiting to break out into theater as they are backstage in the green room. Check it out! Ask me about it for more info. (end shameless plug)

Sorry... couldn't resist. LOL Dont' know what possessed me.

This time, I'll definitely be there. I'll be coming straight from my speech class, so I'll be wearing a dark backpack. I may arrive late depending on when class lets out.

I think I'm just going to head over after work, since it would be out of my way to go home. I work in Fullerton, so I can get there quickly. I'll be there between 5:30-6:30, depending on when I leave the office and how bad traffic is.

If you weren't at the meet and greet, I'm the chick with a black "Read Irresponsibly" bag, a tiny netbook, and crazy-long hair. :)

This is the stand-alone Starbucks, right? Not the one inside the bank?

The standalone one??? ummm, I'm not too familiar with the area since I'm coming from Fullerton-ish, so is this the one near Felix's?

I expect to be there early too

Am I a freak for having typed the last thousand or so words with my eyes closed? I find it's a great way not to go back and want to fix!

Not at all--a fair number of Wrimos type with their monitors turned off for the same reason. I think the general rule is: whatever works for you. :)

Okay Guys, I hate to admit this . . .

But I may not make it tonight. I've been fighting a brutal allergy reaction all day, and trying to work.

If my fourth dose of allergy medicine doesn't work, I'll have to take something stronger, and go crash for eight to ten hours.

And if that doesn't work . . . well . . . we don't even want to go there.

I hate allergies . . . I've only managed about a hundred and ten words today. YUCK!

Katz: It's ok, we understand that things come up! Don't worry about it if you can't make it, things will be fine. :) Hope you feel better soon!

For anyone that noticed, I was the quiet blond one in the corner, reading a book because I was too shy to introduce myself. Better luck next time I guess :P I get nervous with crowds.

I hope to make it next week to meet you guys. My guy has to give me a ride, and he wasn't interested in leaving the house tonight (World of Warcraft quests).

starsweeper - It was a fun time. Noisy, but fun. :) Definitely say hi next time! This is my first time doing NaNo and I was nervous about going at first but everyone was so nice. And there were a few other people there doing this for the first time, too.

I'm going to the write-in tomorrow night. If you're going - let me know and I'll make sure to look for you! :)

Have a great day everyone!

I did notice, actually! I almost said something but decided you might just be a student reading. I think one of the absolute best things about NaNo is that we're a group of fun people who can be themselves and also take people for themselves, no matter what. I do hope you'll come see us next time - I know we might be a little noisy, but trust me when I say we like you already because you're one of us =)

OK. I was so going to go.

Now, I'm not. (Birthday of Woman-Who-Is-Like-Second-Mom-to-me dinner party. Attendance required.)

Perhaps I'll catch some of you Thursday night in Brea.

I'll go again tonight, I'll be there probably around 7. I'll be the one not buying anything in respect of my deplorable paycheck :P

I'm there already. I'm in the corner, and dealing with anorexic/drugaddict individuals insisting on sitting near me. Ugh.

I'm going to leave in 15 and be there in about 20 to 40 minutes. Is everyone nice there? I'm not much of a social butterfly.

I'm here now, but I can't seem to figure out if the group are the people in the corner with the laptops. I feel all ghetto because I just brought a pen and a notebook. It also looks very crowded over there!
