I'm going to push myself to write 5K a day, that seems like about the most I can aspire to in a day. @_@ Of course today is my dad's birthday and I can't ignore him...I'm trying!!!!

I am 1000 words over what I'm supposed to be today...and I still have a 5-hour write-in tonight! I'm feeling pretty good. The lead has been let out!

LOL I took that last bit that you were trying to ignore your dad. ^_^

I think you're 5K goal is extraordinary!

By the third day, I'm averaging 4,073 words a day. Realistically, I know I'm not going to make that every day (especially not today), but on my really good days (like yesterday!), I will try to push myself to more heights to make up for my bad ones.

Falling behind How exactly? In the region war with CT?

At the start of this war they had a 310 word lead on us in average word count. That lead is now down to18 words. I actually figure we'll pass them today with a good writing push.

Let's go Rhinos.

I'm only averaging about 2K per day, but plan to do much better on weekends when there's less interference. :-) Some of our DFW wordcounts (Cid) are blowing my mind!

I've been posting a daily update on the region war- bring it! thread, but you can find the totals if you look on the nav bar above that says "Fun Stuff" then "Word Count Scoreboard" we're fighting over the AVERAGE word count, so sort the list using that option by clicking on the word. Click it twice, because the first time It'll reorder the list showing the LOWEST average word count first. the second click puts it in descending order from highest to lowest.

I missed my daily goal yesterday by 48 words at midnight - I'm very bitter about this. Hopefully I can still get some writing in while in Oklahoma over the weekend, the real trick will be getting internet to update tonight. Wish me luck!

I've decided that I need to finish this book by the end of November. The last 50k I got to is still sitting on my harddrive taking up space and only half done. That leaves me to believe that if I don't finish it during the rush and adrenaline of NaNo, I probably won't. I pretty much only write during NaNo, which is bad. Anyway! That means my word count needs to be around 90,000 by the end, so my daily word count needs to be between 3,600 and 4,000. Did I say I had the lead out? It's about to be let out more. Eep. I scheduled off that Sunday of the Night of Writing Dangerously. I'm gonna need big pushes on my days off, and that night. I can do this!
