Good morning! I had to make marinara sauce this morning so I didn't get my usual amount of writing done - only about 400 words for the day so far. But now I have to go to work. Let's hope I can get some more done tonight...

I did about the same this morning, closing in on my 10K goal for YESTERDAY...I want to have at least 12K by tonight. Good luck! :)

I ended last night with 8,163 and I'm hoping to get over 10k today. Which shouldn't be that hard since its only 2k until then :D

Tonight I will make an astonishing comeback and add some words to my sad, sad count.

I'm happy to say I've been able to meet my goal of 2k words per day even with the world series distraction (I"m a die hard Yankee fan).

I'd like to hit 20k by the end of day Sunday but we'll see. My story has already started down a completely different path then I originally intended so I'm hoping I don't find that I've written myself into a corner.

I guess if all else fails I can introduce "wizards" as a way to make drastic things happen without having to really explain ;)

I got ahead just a touch last night, but hit a wall. Now I'm letting it slow simmer and adding scenes to the backstory to give the characters some more muscle for when the plot (if I find it) takes off. I'd really like to hit 10k today, but I'm also thinking a break might be in order sooner rather than later. I know at some point I'll have to abandon what I have outlined and jump into the wilds of the unknown, so I want the motor well-rested for when that happens.

Unfortunately, deus ex machina doesn't appear to much of an option in the corner I'm painting myself into. Lessons learned for next time! Onward!

Written about 1,500 words so far today, and I have a whole lot more to go. I just wanted to check in now, because I'm not going to stop writing until the last minute before work. I hope to reach at LEAST 25,000 before I tramp off.

The story is coming so easily. I'm very excited that I've found this line of inspiration. I love stories that rock! Characters doing better than intended. We're really at the heart of things now.

Gotta run...the muse is beating me over the head! Check out the blog for day to day updates!

Good morning NH! I started late, but caught up last night! I'm a little over 6000! Would like to be ambitous today and make it to 9000 because I know I will be busy this weekend. Happy writing to you all!

I just did a word sprint on my 15 minute break at work and got another 557 written! Yay! Let's see if I can manage that for my afternoon break too...

I'm feeling pretty good about where I am. I've managed about 1000 words so far today and it put me up over 9000. I have to get ready for work now... but I've been bringing the computer with me to work and managing between 400-600 words on my lunch break. I'm aiming for a total of another 1000 words today to break the 10k mark.

good luck everyone!

my goal today is to reach 8333 minimum (more is gravy as always and 10k would be awesome) I've not been writing much the last day but i've sure had my brainstorming active and my muses are with me. I've been having major plot brainstorms throughout the day. I've also discoverd a song that is totally speaking to me about the story and have had it on repeat for most of the afternoon. I'm going to be totally primed when i sit down to write later!!

I finally have a functioning laptop again. I can type probably 50 more words per minute with this thing, and THAT is helpful. I won't have my data off my old hard drive until tomorrow afternoon, but it's catch up time. I'm going to try to get at least 2,000 words in this evening. It will be tough to do that around all of the studying I have to do (3 tests tomorrow!), but I'm going to make it work. :) I think I'm three full days behind since I did get a good head start.

Over all, this is a good NaNo day for me. I'm looking forward to getting back into the groove.

Hit 10,500. Might try for that extra 500 before calling it a night. I'm very please in my progress. Now if only I could come up with a name for my islands that wasn't corny...

Got in 2354 words today to pull me up to 11, 117. Whew! Still a little behind where I wanted to be today, but giving the first story the heave-ho and starting with a new one did put me behind a bit. But I'm catching up, and, better still, I'm happy with where the story is going.

Keep writing, everyone! We're getting there!

Well, I'm a bit ahead of my goal of 2000 words a day - 10,162. But yesterday was a slow writing day and I had been well ahead of goal. I want to be sure I always a cushion so I'm gonna work at getting out at least 3000 today. Having a ball! The first great lesson - don't get up and pace to find out what they're gonna do next, sit down and write what they're doing.

My husband commandeered my laptop last night, so I didn't get anything written! >:(
