Anyone else a west-sider on here? I saw east-siders and downtowners post, but wanted to know if the west side was doing NaNo too! :D

Bay Village, though I grew up a while in Parma. I always thought of that as 'south,' more than 'west,' but I've never been one to accept only two options!

I think Parma people are referred to as Parma-sians/Parmagianas. Must be from all the Italians in that part of town....
( I can say it, cause I are one!)
I'm all for some write-ins a little closer to me.
One of the Parma libraries? Parmatown Mall food court? Starbucks at Parmatown (corner of Ridge and Day)?

Awesome!! Let's plan a write-in then. I'm available Wednesday evening and early Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Anyone else free during those times?
I'd be fine doing something in Parma...sounds like most people are game for there too? The Parma Starbucks would be a great place to meet, or the Panera right off the Tiedeman exit. And of course, the library would be great--either Parma South or Parma Snow are good ones!
Michelle--my editor is still subbing that story out, thanks for asking!
ps--I used to live in Parma and always said we Parma residents were "Parmites". haha

Sundays are not good for me. Wednesday and early Saturday are good for me. I am going to the library write-ins (2-4 Saturday afternoon).
Anywhere is good for me, I like the Parmatown food court idea, though.

Cool--do you guys want to try for this coming Wednesday then (11/11/09), at the Parma food court? Maybe...5-7 pm? Does that work for anyone?
Do you think the food court will be suitable for us to get writing done in there? I'm not sure if it'll be too loud or distracting. I'm game with whatever you guys think, though. :D

Anywhere is fine for me, really, but the mall is a great spot to do some people watching and I need some character types for later in my book. I prefer using real influences rather than making them up. Then I could say something like, "No, seriously, I actually saw somebody acting like that."

I second the vote for the foodcourt being too distracting (and not a little bit Ghetto...lol).
If we bump it to the Starbucks on Day (which means goodies, my vote), or the library, (which has more (?) people, but is still quiet) I'd be happier.
Wed 5-7 works for me!
(Which is awesome, because I didn't think I'd get to attend any of the write-ins our ML scheduled)
Edited to add that I will, of course, come and write in the food court if that's the will of the people...and I'll get a cheesesteak, instead of a brownie and some chai, to reward myself if I do a good job.

I'm good any of those days and times -- self-employed.
HOWEVER, I have to get my brother around on Wednesdays -- but he lives by Target, and I'm only hauling him and his wheelchair to our church, which is across the street from Wal-Mart. As long as we're meeting in the Parmatown area, I can come and go, drop him off, come back.
Did you say 5-7? Or later?
Starbucks is fine -- I'll just get the cheapest thing I can and nurse it all night. They might not be too happy if we brought food with us .......
Some writing friends and I met for years in a back booth at McDonalds. After the dinner rush is over, it's pretty quiet, and they don't mind if you sit there forever, as long as you buy something. Interested in the McDonalds on Day Drive?

I'm over halfway which means I get my goal -- cheesecake from Truffles! If anyone else wants to indulge in overpriced but totally worth every penny cheesecake and coffee on Saturday afternoon (11/21), lemme know. I'm game for any time in the afternoon, and will probably be there working on non-NaNo stuff anyways.
