Calling Kitsilano writers!

Well, I may not be in Kits but I sure as heck love writing there. I'd be down for a write-in at Calhouns. :)

Me! I'm always on Broadway!

Great! The best days for me would be Monday, Tuesday, or Sunday afternoons. But I'm very flexible. When would be a good time for you guys?

Of the times mentioned, Tuesday afternoons are best. I live at 5th & Trafalgar, so Wired Monk and Cornerstone are withina short walk,but can go to broadway or Calhouns of course.

I'm using Liquid Story Binder and an a newbie NanoWriMo. Words are getting typed in, but I'm not sure about how integrated they will be :>)

I'm free Tuesdays any time after noon! Mondays I would be free after 4:30 or so. Sunday afternoons I am usually at the Sundays at Blenz social (which is done around 4 so I guess I'd be free after that)

Tuesdays are generally fairly busy for me but outside of that, I'm fairly open.

I guess we could do Saturdays? It'd have to be earlier rather than later, because I'd be busy after 5:00. Other than that, it looks like Monday evenings would be the winner, with a start around 5 or 5:30. Thoughts? Preferences?

I'm on 4th Ave. and would love to do a write-in~ :) I find I tend to think best during mid-day, so I get most of my writing done then. Calhouns is pretty close for me too, though I may mosey over in the daytime hours and be gone before 5pm ever rolls around. Is anyone free is the early afternoons? Say, around 1 or 2pm on a weekday?

raptor22 - I could do early Saturdays or Monday evenings, they both work for me!

JuliaD: I could do Tuesdays at 1 or 2pm! My classes end at 12 that day.

I'm new to Van and haven't even been to Calhouns yet... but I always look in the window and think it looks like a nice place!

abulia, I can do both Monday and Tuesday! So Tuesdays at 1 (for you, me, JuliaD, MaryB, and whoever else shows up)? Another time Monday evening for those who prefer evenings (and elenya who can't do Tuesdays).

I figure we can be rather informal about this whole thing, and meet sporatically throughout the month. This week I'm free Wed-Fri, but won't be for the other half of the month, if anyone wants to meet up those days this week. I'm also on 4th, so it's really easy for me to get to Calhouns whenever!

Tuesday at 1pm at Calhouns sounds great! I'll already be on Broadway from 11am that morning getting a back massage. Hehe. So, I'll just tote my laptop with me when I go :) It should be fun! And Raptor22, I am actually off from work for the rest of this calendar year (starting up again in January), so I am really flexible about which days I can meet up. So, when your schedule changes, that shouldn't be an issue at all~ See you guys on Tuesday! ^^

Awesome! Tuesday at 1 it is! I might be there a bit earlier, if I spot a break in the weather (hopefully it won't be raining....). I'll wear a red, wool, argyl-patterned hat so you can find me, or spot me if either of you get there first. My lappy's wireless isn't working, so I won't be able to communicate with you electronically after I leave my apartment.... And Julia, about your availability, sounds good!

I've never done a write-in before, but I'm super-pumped~ Hopefully the rain doesn't turn me into a drowned sewer rat on the way there. Hehe.

Just bring whatever it is you are writing on! I'll have my netbook and my notes. Usually write ins just involve chatting about your novel, discussing things you're stuck on, chatting about other random things, and then actually being quiet and writing your novel. And having word wars!

I think Monday or Tuesday would work best for me...I have a bunch of things happening this weekend, now. One of the students I tutor wants a 3 hour lesson, and there are a bunch of other errands I have to take care of...Yucky. Anyway, Monday and Tuesday are both good in my books :D And by then, you never know, I might have the first 50k in the bag, and be working up-up-and-away to my 75k goal! Hehe.

And if Raptor or anyone else wants to join for the next write-in, please post, too :D Calhouns again?

I'd be interested in meeting some of you guys Monday or Tuesday, but my laptop...she is falling to bits, and is taped firmly to many wires and things. Extricating her would be an ordeal. And I'm not overly fond of writing by hand. Is anyone just doing this as a social/brainstorming type of event, and not just writing side-by-side?

So, shall we aim for Monday as our next write-in? Calhouns or Intelligensia? Either are good options if it's in the daytime. but Intelligensia closes at 6pm, so Calhouns would be better if we are planning on going a bit later. Heck, we could even do the nighttime write-in, and go til like midnight! :D

Oh darn. I realised my bf is coming home from his trip earlier tomorrow than I anticipated. So, I will come to Calhouns earlier--maybe 1pm or so, to start working, and will only be able to stay until about 6:30pm at latest. Sorry!! :S Maybe we could still try for another weekday, too?
