Lady Doom has alerted us to the existence of Flatirons Coffee via the "Write-In Locations" thread. It used to be the Peaberry's at 28th and Arapahoe. It has tasty coffee and has demonstrated its appropriateness for Getting Novel Done.
It's on the calendar as 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Feel free to get there earlier, but they won't let you stay later 'cause 9 is closing time.
Lady Doom, as our gracious write-in host, would you like me to bring you a table tent or similar identifying sign for helping Wrimos figure out which hard-at-work faction is us? I can print something right up.

Hey All,
I'm here at Flatiron & ready to go.
I'll have one of the NaNoWriMo posters taped to the lid of my laptop so you can find me. My husband and I are hanging out right in the middle of the seating and the plug in power strip is right next to our table for your convenience!
Hope to see some of you here tonight & from now on. Since Thanksgiving is on a Thursday, I'm not sure if we will be here then, but we'll see!
Lady Doom

Good point about Thanksgiving - I'd forgotten that happens in November! In case of Flatirons Coffee closing and Wrimos wanting to get out of the house to write anyway, we might try IHOP. IHOP is always open even on holidays. It'll be stuffed to the gills at lunch, but will likely cool down in the evening. Likely. Maybe. Tentatively. I have had bad luck thus far with predicting the busy-ness quotient of prospective write-in locations.
DANG we're a big group! Sorry to jabber on so long - I will get back to work now!
(Oooh, they just started playing a Rush song from 1985 ! ! ! oooh, shiny! Easily distractable? Me? Noooo....)

Yay for scary looking husbands who can scare others into being a LITTLE more polite about their loud conversations... I think I shall ask him to come to all our write-ins!

I approve of this measure.
Also, if scary-looking individuals are not present in a given group, the sheer number of the given group should do the trick. Imagine all (...pauses to count...) seven? Yes, if all seven Wrimos turned toward the yakking bores and said, "Ahem! Inside voice!" simultaneously...
Also, we could then say something like, "Our Name Is Legion" or "One of us! One of us!" until they ran screaming into the night.

I approve... I think we could scare anyone into hushing up quite quickly!

Hey all, I hope to see a few of you tonight at Flatiron Coffee! I will NOT be bringing my laptop, as the old fashion notebook has been doing well for me today. I'll try to find a place to tape up the NaNo sign I had on my laptop last week though.
See you soon!

And here we are, two Wrimos (Lady Doom and myself) and two Wrimo Supporters (Sir Doom and my neighbor Jacque)! Toward the front of the shop near the bookshare shelf, with Lady Doom's sign taped up to help y'all find us.
Very quiet in here. Come join us!
ETA: We got a bit less quiet shortly after that. Lyla.north and flying_fox and jmosnik and naradragonfly and Rachel and... is that everyone? ...are all here. It's been a great evening! And Jacque (cavyherd) is taking captioned pictures of everyone - she may post a link later to a photo gallery!

Hey all, Doom and I are awful tired tonight. I think we are going to skip out tonight.
Good luck on your writing to all those who make it!

Thanks! We are 5 right now - Stevie and Susan, Steve, Mario, and myself. Flatirons is rather full for now, so we're cramming ourselves in 3 to a table where necessary. It will surely result in concentrated inspiration!
Rest up and see y'all on Thanksgiving @ IHOP if not sooner!
