I heard a couple of people discussing doing a word war, over IM or Chat or something. So, if anyone is interested, post your medium of choice here and we'll all try and get together. It could be a fun way to get together and talk and such even though we don't have the time or inclination to make it to a write-in.

PS for those of you unfamiliar, a word war is where people (either live or in cyberspace) get together, chat for a bit, make a time designation (as in 'in the next ten minutes') and then write madly and try and beat each other.

I have been involved in these on Second Life (very robust NaNo community there...and this year there are 2 distinct NaNo groups) and they can be fun, but somewhat challenging. I typically don't do them mostly because I tend to get brain freeze when I try - but if you start one, let me know when and where! (Google Chat would probably be the best method for me next to Second Life.)
