Okay, time to 'fess up! How many of you have been writing at the office? I have, in fact, I managed to find time to sneak away from doing actual work to crank out 5,480 in my cubicle during the first week. Not bad! I'm thinking I can manage at least 20 percent of the 50K total before it's all over. So, who else is writing at work?

i have several "waiting" periods while i work (you know, click here, wait for page to load, wait for letter to load, wait for email to load). it's only ever a few seconds, but i can get out 50-100 words in those few seconds. multiply by a bajillion, and i have gotten out 2000 words a day just at the office (without wasting company time ... much of it).

guilty.

sure makes the day go by a little better :)

Guilty as charged. Also I pulled a muscle in a cheek not near my nose so coming home and sitting down to write after sitting most of the day at work, isn't working. I think I will pass this problem on to one of my characters. Its really funny even though it really hurts.

Not completely guilty, as I don't work at an office. But at school I've been known to drift off and "write" in my head.

Actually, I wish I could, but my job is such that I'm on the computer all day doing my job from the time I get in. I suppose I could write for half an hour over lunch, but I need to step away. Plus, my computer screen faces out so anybody walking past my cubicle will see me having fun. Actually, I love my job so no problem. Funny, I actually wrote my first novel when I was on a long-term temp assignment that lasted almost a year to the day. I had so little to do there that I wrote "Raven's Way" mostly there in about six months.

Keep writing everybody, K*rry

Well, it's certainly good to know I'm not alone here! Heh! Can't wait to sneak in more writing in my cubicle Monday!
