So, I'm having my characters do various tasks for a shop owner to get some items. The task they're doing right now, is making a potion, but they don't know what it does, and at the end someone's going to test it.
Thing is, I dunno what to make it do.
I was thinking of having it change the person into the opposite gender for a while (to piss off the character who I'd have test it), but I'm not sure. I'm looking more for appearance changes/transforming potions, but anything is fine.
So what are some things I could have this potion do?

Apperence changing and transformative huh?
Well, you could take a page from Yezma's book (Emperor's New Groove) and make it transform the user into some kind of animal.
OR do something just odd and make them turn purple. XD

I love temporary loss of sight. The character will most definitely think he has gone blind forever. It's no appearance changing effect, but I like it nevertheless.

I like the idea of changing genders and/or species.

Turns the tester into a thousand bees.
The other characters then have to contain the bees, as all must be reasonably close together for the transformation back.

I was just playing D&D the other day and one of the adventures came across a mysterious purple potion. He decied to drink it. Turned him to stone for five turns. Maybe the potion turns him to stone but hes still able to move and such. Maybe being stone can come in handy for the next task they have to do. Also, it could cause some minoir problems for the character serious or not, like breaking things, people running away in fright, birds resting on him all the time and pooping.

Grow wings. Turn to a statue of ice (or salt, or gold, or chocolate, or ...) Temporarily change the drinker's voice to an awesome, doomy choral voice. Grants the ability to walk on water (until it wears off). Causes hallucinations (cue word-tastic dream sequence). Causes insomnia lasting a week. Turns the drinker's skin blue. Causes the drinker to breathe rainbow-colored bubbles for several hours. Causes frogs to drop from the drinker's mouth with every word he says. Causes him to see ultraviolet light (everything looks glowy and weird).
