Hello everyone,

As we're heading into the second week of Nano I thought it would be a good idea if we wrote down the GOOD points, rather than focussing on the bad points.

For me, at the moment, it's seeing the ten thousand mark being hit. It seemed impossible at the beginning but I've managed it and proud of the work that's been put in to make it there. Now looking forward to the twenty mark.

But what about everyone else? What's been the highlight of your novelling week so far?

Good thread loopy.

For me, I think it's the fact that I've just got over the proverbial week 2 blues by writing lots on the first day of week two. (I had them all of week 1 instead!)

My characters have actually suddenly started deciding that they want to do things. I only needed to burn down their workplace for it to work! ;)

I've reached 10 000 words. Which is more than I have written for anything in 2 yrs. Combined.

Kind of a good AND a bad point.

All the crazy things your characters decide they want to do once you get a serious writer's block. Can be quite funny, also annoying.

My two favourite things about NaNo:

1. The wonderful people I meet through doing this insane thing for a month!

2. Kicking my inner editor into touch and "loosening up" my writing. I can tell it's getting close to November each year because she gets louder and slows my writing down almost to a stop!

NEW good points...

Like Jay Walker, Meeting fab people and being able to talk writing.

Also, finally discovering that my characters CAN start speaking to me and demanding things. (always thought this was a myth!)

Happy writing everyonexxx
