As per Edmowrimo tradition, we'll be meeting in the Student's Union Building on the University of Alberta campus to take advantage of what for many of us is a day off. We'll be meeting around the stage area in the south half of the main floor of SUB at about 1pm and writing until 5pm! It's the one day of the month when SUB isn't overrunning with students, so come by and enjoy a nice relaxed write-in!
The Students' Union Building (SUB) can be found at 8900 114 Street. A photo of the entrance and a campus map can be found here: http://www.campusmap.ualberta.ca/index.cfm?campus=1§or=5&feature=42 (SUB is building #66). It is accessible by LRT, bus (Bus service to the University is excellent, even on a holiday.), car, bike and afoot. You will either need to pay for parking on campus (Stadium Car Park is the closest) or park in the neighbourhood and walk in. We will be on the main floor, exact location to be determined (We should have signage).
Even if you can only come for part of the day, that's fine too - people tend to come and go.
Feel free to bring whatever snacks or drinks you'd like either for yourself or to share (um, non-alcoholic, obviously) - it's a totally open building so you can munch on whatever you want. A few of the SUB restaurants should be open if you want to pick something up, and there are vending machines, too. Snacks for sharing are most welcome!
