I'm a NaNo newbie who started out desperately afraid of losing spectacularly, and now I'm on track to win with 60k! I haven't been this nicely ahead since day two!

Slow and steady. Must save my energy for the panicked frenzy that comes later.

CONGRATS!
I live in mortal fear of my daily 1667... and, in fact, being the Mom and having a lot to do around Thanksgiving, always try to be bit ahead. So, I cam looking for you 'cause I JUST HIT 16K! (I'm going to sleep. 4:30 comes early. And that's when these characters seem to want to come out and play.) 'nite.

I am also new to NaNoWriMo and after a late start (by 3 days) I have caught up to my 2,000 words per day goal.
I feel good and can't believe at this point how easy it is to write 1,000 words. I have read that things get bad in the second week so I hope to make it through.
I work full-time have a three year old, so what was I thinking when I signed up for this. Thank goodness for sick days, stat. holidays, weekends and flex days. I guess I just won't sleep the last week.
Keep up the good work comrades, see you at the finish line!
