I was wondering where do people like to write the most, if you like writing away from home. Is it somewhere clinical, beautiful, busy, peaceful?
I'm really looking forward to a few days in Ilkley at the end of this month, to try and tip myself over the winning point for NaNoWriMo. I love it there, great place to write.

I just write at home, in my cramped little computer room. But yesterday, I found a new favourite place - the train. I had to go to a meeting in London, and took my laptop with me. Brilliant - two hours each way of uninterrupted writing. Unfortunately, my next London meeting isn't until December.

Well in practise I mostly write in my dungeon (tiny shoebox bedroom). My favourite place to write, though, is probably upstairs in the Oasis at Meadowhall. People watching gives me ideas, and I can distract myself by eating ice cream when I get stuck. Plus there's just something cool about writing in public. I used to like writing on the tram as well, but I can't really afford to be paying for tickets just to ride the tram all the time ...

I usually write on my laptop in front of my desktop, reading on one and writing on the other. My favourite please has to be in lectures, though, becasue it feels illicit and rebellious

I keep trying to write at work, unfortunately, i'm too busy - I mean the cheek, how dare they expect me to do what I'm paid for all day? :P
