Its official guys. I'm in Arizona now, and will be at the write-in tomorrow night. Who else is going? I'd love to meet you all, so tell me what to look for! I'll be wearing a green, salt-stained hat that says "Kauai" on it!

Can't wait!

I'll be there if I can figure out a ride, it's not far from my college, but I don't drive...plus getting home afterward...

I don't know what I'll wear though.

This will be my first write-in, except for the mini ones I've done with my girlfriend. I'm told they are very productive.

I think I'm going to miss tomorrow's write-in, unfortunately. Well, it's unfortunate that I'll be missing the write-in. I'm happy for what I'm doing instead though...lol.

Of course, that's only if I'm happy with my wordcount, so I might be there after all if I don't get writing!

I'll be there with a large patent leather laptop bag.

Fun times! And much verbiage needed!

There's one, yay!!

I'm not familiar with Bookman's. Is there a specific place where people tend to hunker down with their laptops? I'll try and stake out an outlet.

I think we scored used of the community room for the write in. When you go in go straight to the back, there is a room with french doors. That's the community room, there should be chairs in the room. If they're not out then they will be in the room's closet.
I've obviously used the room a few times ^_^ I had a meeting there once a week for a few months...

I'm sure others will come, because I will unfortunately only be there in spirit.. I found a ride, but then my parents (who have H1N1) told they need me at home this evening. Makes me mad, but I don't want to upset them when they are sick. Besides if I stay home tonight they won't raise a stink about my plans this weekend...

Happy Writing guys! Don't get hand cramps.

Yes, it's the community room.

I will be there, and psotos said in another post he would be there. I know rozeecheeks was also planning on it. With Rosekauai and virg from this conversation, that means five of us plus the people who don't get around to posting here. Sounds good to me!

Let's play nice, now. November sucks for everyone. Rozeecheeks, you did an awesome job just setting up all of these events. :)

Welcome to Arizona Kelly.

We had a decent showing tonight and hope to see everyone (and their snacks) next week. Or at Thursday's write-in. I saved the snacks left over for next week. Remember, during November, calories, carbs, sodiums anything normally considered bad to eat, don't apply in November. Chocolate and caffeine are REQUIRED. In fact, combining sweets with nuts helps extend our energy levels, seriously.

I think we all did well on our wordcounts, as well as getting to meet each other. Some of us found new Buddies to encourage us, help us with plots that hit roadblocks, find that elusive word.

So, glad you all showed up tonight and look forward to our next session(s) together.

Terry

I was at the write-in tonight. I might have said something sooner about going, but I wasn't sure if I would make it after work. There were 8 of us, I think. If I remember right. We really had a nice time and I met more great people.

I just want to give a pat on the back to Rozeecheeks for setting all of this up for us. That alone had to take a lot of extra work that she had to take time out of her busy life to do, even before Nano began. Who here has been to every event so far this month? I apologize if I missed someone, but I don't think anyone has, and it's asking a lot to expect someone to do that, even the ML. Things happen. They just do.

Anyway, we had a good turnout and I got some writing done. Still a little behind unless I can do more tonight, but that's okay. I'm looking forward to next week!

I know, but I think she's feeling pretty bad about not being able to go to a lot of the events. I'm just trying to keep everything positive.

Goodness knows we could all use as much happy energy as possible right about now; we're in the second half of the month, after all!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that showed up tonight. I was worried that, because I'm new to the city and the group at large, that it would be awkward or whatnot, but that was never even an issue. Thank you so much for being so welcoming, and thank you to our fearless ML for setting up such great write-ins to go to!

On another note, I should be at the one at Borders tomorrow night, same green "Kauai" baseball cap! I'd love to meet more of you, and to see familiar faces as well!
