Still in the game! We're all moving, steadily, towards the finish line. Who knew we could commit to 2+ weeks much less a whole month. One word at a time we continue to honor this commitment to ourselves. We all deserve a pat on the back and a huge hug!
Just curious. How have you honored yourself today for being so awesome? I took a long, hot bath.

A long hot bath sounds fantastic right about now. I think I'll take one tonight.
Thanks for the idea! =D

Gaggh, I'm losing my steam here. :( One week to go and I can barely squeak out 1000 words a day. Help!

I am so sympathetic. I had a 7K day, and then a 10K weekend, and now.... I'm floundering! Stupid floundering. No sleep tonight until I hit 37.5 K!

looks like this thread may turn into the "gah, I'm in the 30,000's and I can't get out"

Me too. Having a hard time remembering why I wanted to do this a seventh time.

Erm... I rewarded myself by... not going to bed? no, that's no good... failing to do my homework? no... drinking tea? Well I guess that's the best I can do...

I can't understand at all how a person can get anything done by not goign to sleep. I was at the overnight session, though not the entire thing, and I found myself typing absolute gibberish (and this started coming out at, like, 1 am!) I think, though, that, once laptops are a little bit more sturdy, i'd like to force myself to stay awake, computer in lap, and just let the words come out, because i think my subconscious is trying to communicate with me. I'll fall asleep, probably roll over it in my sleep (thus needing a more sturdy item), but also probably keep typing for a while after my being awake has entirely ended, if the overnight was anythign to go by. Who knows, maybe i'm prescient, and it only comes out in type once i'm mostly asleep! lol.
so, congrats to you on your tea, hope that the things you got done pulling an all nighter were useful :)

Another one way back in the mid-30s here. I plan to write 2K a day until Saturday, then go all out over the weekend. Darn it, I was hoping not to have to do that this year...

I FINALLY caught back up to quota yesterday. First time I've been ahead since Nov. 1. Here's a tip: do not start your novel over on Nov. 2. You may not lose any words (oh yes, you bet I kept my Nov. 1 words), but you completely lose your momentum.

If I was rich, I would reward myself with the obscenely expensive yellow boots that I have been coveting.

However, I am poor, so I rewarded myself with a Kit Kat. It was nomtastic.

Hey, I booked monday off of work so I'm going to go for it. I mean it's worth a shot right? Not like I have a lot else going on this weekend anyway.

You are insane, and it is awesome.

Kudos to everyone planning something like this - I don't think I could ever do it, but a few people pull it off every year and it's berry, berry impressive.

*grins at Scott* Maybe I'll stop freaking out about having 13K left to write. Go get those words!

Hmm... I believe the war for my sanity is on. Two factions of my brain, the Right Stuff and the Sinister legion seem to vying for synapse control...

It's going to be a long two days...
