The only thing I've found which really gets and keeps me motivated is the NaNo Graph. It's been great. But now that I am exactly 11,045 words from wining on the 30th I'm realizing that there is absolutely no way I will be done with this story in that few words. I'll need another 11,000 at least, probably more, and another two weeks--during which I'll be moving to Wisconsin. I could do as others have discussed and take December off and start again in January but I don't want to lose the momentum I've been building.

Regardless I lose my good buddy The Graph. It stops measuring at 50,000 and November 30th and leaves me and my novel to face the future alone and uncertain.

I am ferverntly hoping that somebody out there knows of a way--short of my printing out sheets of graph paper and building one by hand--to create a similar graph of my own for when the offical NaNo clock runs out.

Anyone got any ideas?

You could probably do one pretty easily in Excel ... I seem to recall something like this from my Computer Literacy course in college.

I know how to use Excel, but not on such an advanced level off the top of my head. If you're patient and can wait until after NaNo ends, I should be able to figure it out. What version of Excel do you have? (It makes a difference in how I save the file.)

That would be awesomeness for which patience is not difficult.

As to the version, I'm not sure. 2007, XP, definately not Vista or the supposedly better than Vista new thing.

Hi Syberina,

The only thing I've found were some kids sites and this: in aless than 10 minute google search. Everything else that popped up was download software or for kids!

i hope that helps.
