Brief Author Bio: I am 23 years old and graduated in 2008 with a BA in English. I've been doing NaNo since 2002, and have yet to lose a year (although 2008 was pretty close!). Still can't type sentences with a proper subject-object-verb sentence. Abuse the shift key regularly. Love irregular punctuation, hate improperly used punctuation (there's totally a difference). Write all genres, from fantasy to literary fiction. I think 2009 is going to be a foray into the adventures of Chick Lit, in which my goal will be to write a chick lit novel where the main character acts like an ACTUAL woman, instead of a ditzy, romance-obsessed hyena. |

Synopsis: Insert Cheesy Chick-lit/Spy Thriller Title Here
What started out as the chick-lit moment of her life-- finding out that her boyfriend of nine months had been cheating on her for the past eight with a size two blonde with long legs-- quickly turned into a night she'll never forget and never escape. Emily Jordan is just a normal woman, a librarian who is trying to process learning that her boyfriend is an epic cheater, when she accidentally stumbles on an undercover spy organization and gets drawn into a mystery of intrigue, danger, torture, and a good-looking but rather emotionless Agent who has been ordered to keep her safe.

There was only an up button on the elevator, and Jason tapped it. The doors opened almost immediately with a soft ding, and Jason pulled open his suit jacket, sliding an electronic key card from the inside pocket. He swiped it over the emergency contact speaker in the elevator, and the doors closed. Instead of going up, however, the elevator started to descend.
“This is like something out of a spy thriller,” Emily said.
“You shouldn’t read too many crappy novels,” Jason replied. “They’ll make the real thing seem so much more disappointing. It’s not all gun fights and undercover agents.”
Emily raised an eyebrow.
“Today may be an exception,” Jason allowed.
