Synopsis: Siren Song Redux
When Ian and Daniel ran into each other randomly down a dark alley, Neither ever expected that the other would be drawn into their respective worlds of Magic and economic privilege. Now they, and the unlikeliest of allies will have to fight for their very survival in a race to uncover the mystery surrounding the question that everyone seems to be asking: "What is the power of the Triad?"
Excerpt: Siren Song Redux
“I've paused time for everyone but us, and it will last until the end of the song,” Ian explained. “It's kind of draining on me, so I hope you have a short ringtone, but that's it. That's why people are after me in the streets. It's why I've never had to have a job, why I've lived squatting for most of my life, why I've lived in fear, why I've lived on the run. It's why Alan and his minions will never leave me alone, and why now that you're involved you need my protection.” The ringtone finished and the world started up again. Daniel stared wide-eyed at his phone, now displaying the message “One missed call, from home”.
“What was that?” Daniel said shakily, putting the phone down on the table and shivering slightly.
“It's what I do, what I am, what they want from me.” Daniel looked up sharply. “It was magic.”
