There the figure of a woman stood; a white glowing essence of light. In the bed another woman opened her eyes discreetly and did not move. She closed them knowing she had to get out of there, she had to get away from her. Yet the glowing figure stood right next to her bed, looking at her. The woman lay still in her bed; her head was plagued with no other thought than that of getting away from the glowing figure. She had been training recently. She knew the ‘sweet spot’ and knew she had to go for it.

In one fluid motion the woman had thrown the covers off of herself and jumped out of bed. She balled up her fists and threw three quick, rapid and successive punches at the figure’s gut, driving the figure into the closet door. She heard the loud, “thud! thud! thud!” each time her hand came into contact with the figure. It was hard and stiff. Hitting the glowing figure was unexpectedly the same as hitting a closest door. As her open eyes awoke and focused she realized she stood facing nothing more than the empty closet door.

There was nothing there. She dropped her fists to her sides and leaned her head against the closet door. “It was just a dream,” she whispered to herself wiping a tear from her cheek, “just another god damned dream.”
