Synopsis: My Friend Delaney
Rafe needs to get out of town and be incommunicado for the weekend or his brother may be arrested and Rafe's business ruined. Avoiding the press, he finds himself being urged to get into a car by a pretty woman. The choice being go with her or be caught and his brother exposed, Rafe gets into the car.
Ellie is going home for the weekend. To get her mother off her back, she has invented a boyfriend, Delaney. Now, she must produce him. She's hired an actor, who hasn't turned up. When Rafe comes by, looking lost, she assumes this is her man. They drive away to Sussex, each with a world of pretence driving them.
