Brief Author Bio:

I am Alice, and if you wanted to know anything else about me, you'd be a stalker.

I am a young teenage writer. I write whatever the hell comes to mind, which is usually realistic teen fiction. I write to get inside a character's head. (I'm saying that because a lot of people write for different things: world building, story telling, et cetera.) I really enjoy trying to picture a character's pain, whether it be frustration, annoyance, extreme physical pain or grief. Ever since I was a little kid, I've experimented with different scenarios that characters can be put into while playing games with neighborhood kids, and, to as deep of an extent as I could, I would embody the emotions the scenario ensued. It never occurred to me, until fifth grade, that I could put these things down on paper. In fifth grade, about 2005, after the huge tsunami in south east Asia struck, I had aspirations to write something about tsunami victims, but I never did until I found an article in People Magazine about how children victims were receiving art therapy. This article really struck a chord with me because it wasn't putting out statistics of how many people died or how many people were displaced. It put names to the statistics heard on the news every day. It put lives to the pictures of people. It wasn't one of those, 'Today, this happened' with no emotion at all. That day, I started writing my first 'big project.' (It was probably about 2,000 words which was, at the time, HUGE.) Two weeks later, I had a completed rough draft in my hands. I've been hooked on--no, addicted to--writing ever since.

Since then, I've completed three novels and hope to complete a fourth this November.

Synopsis: Morta's People

(I really fail at these, but I'll try anyway. :P)

Out in Alaska, in the middle of no where, there is a piece of land that no one has ever heard of. It's not recognized on maps. No one has ever been there, except for the Native Alaskans and the inhabitants, Morta's People, a cult created at the turn of the century. Since the members migrated there almost a hundred years ago, no one has left the compound and no one has come onto the compound. They live in an isolated world where they hunt and gather for food and perceive anyone who they don't know as an 'other.'

When a three strangers over the course of twelve years happen upon the compound in states of confusion and disorientation, the members of the cult think they are going to be the reincarnations of their gods and prepare to sacrifice the strangers. Now only time can tell if they can escape the forces of the cult.
