The Second Trojan War
an excerpt

Kevin flopped out of his bed, onto the cold laminate floor. On his way to the bathroom he walked into his desk, then the wall and finally he knocked over a small table and a lamp in the hallway. He did not particularly care about the time of night or about his science test the coming morning, though he did vaguely wonder what he’d have for breakfast.

Next thing, the boy was standing outside, a warm wind sweeping around him.
“Appius Quinctilius Ahala, we welcome you.”
Kevin took a deep breath, coughed and choked. “Kwillus…what?”

This is how Kevin got a new name. Or, in fact, an entirely new world, time and language.
Not soon after arriving, Kevin realized he was in either a new movie, a video game or in Italy. The latter seemed most likely, as the toga wearing people kept on saying the region was called Italia. They also said Kevin was the prediction of their drunk village Oracle.
After five pints of watery wine, Kevin discovered his new surname meant ‘Armpit’ and that he had been sent to win the Second Trojan War.
