Dream Killer

Tara is a terror but no one knows it. Not even she. She has been told all her life that she can’t be the writer she longs to be. She’s an artist, sure. So why not be an architect, like her father and uncle before her? Except they have only achieved a modicum of success so now they are pining their hopes on her; that Tara will become the legend they always thought they could be. Her mother has not been able to rise above the station she was born into either. Tara is their only hope.

Tara’s quiet demeanor and pleasant attitude have led some to believe they can walk all over her. They think they can tell her what to do. But Tara will be a writer and when she succeeds, she will train her words, teach them, give them a life of their own and they will swoop out into the world to exact precious revenge on those who dared to try to kill her dream. Instead her words will reach out to them in their dreams, twist themselves around their consciousnesses and choke the life from their life ambitions.

Killing them would be satisfactory. Better yet, turning them into the drones they have destined her to be would be the ultimate in revenge.
