Synopsis: A Single Loose Thread

When Amelia Michelyne, the head designer for a large clothing company, wakes up to find the world has turned teal, she realizes she can't live in such a disgusting world, and proposes a counter-attack by introducing a color that would win the hearts of the young and old: coral pink. Will Amelia prevail in taking Montreal back from her teal rival, Kathlyn Catriona, or will she succumb to the color and admit defeat?

Excerpt: A Single Loose Thread

She sometimes wished she could design and approve everything that people wore or decorated their homes with. So many tacky items, so much clothing that should be locked away, never to see the faces of humans again, and there was so little free time to regulate it all. Between work and her current beau, she rarely had time to cook let alone create tasteful public service announcements. She just wanted to shout so badly that, “Red and thin stripes are IN, and red-orange and thick stripes are OUT,” and see people scramble for the nearest (expensive) fashion outlet and buy, buy, buy. It was amazing how little people knew about trends and colors when they were all around, in everything they did or wanted to ever do. Clothing—nay, fashionable clothes were mandatory when either traveling, at the office, or even when home alone watching sappy chick flicks on the Movie Network.
