Favorite novels: Most romance, most horror, most historical...basically, anything with words between the covers.

Favorite writers: Stephen King, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Laura Lael Miller, Dean Koonz, Jean Auel

Favorite music: I don't listen to music - I like it quiet. Music interferes with the scenes playing out in my head. :)

Non-noveling interests: What? There's something besides writing? I'm shocked.

Brief Author Bio:

Kiernan's novels of gay romance have hit bestseller status, with titles including Riding Heartbreak Road, Seti's Heart, In Bear Country, and her latest, In Bear Country II: The Barbary Coast. She has also contributed to anthologies by Torquere Press, Starbooks Press, Aspen Mountain Press, and Cleis Press. Her latest short story print release, "Cletus," appears in the Coscom Publishing's book Bits of the Dead, in the company of stories by Piers Anthony and other prestigious writers.

Kiernan has been writing exclusive, serial romance fiction for What's Happening Magazine since 2007. Her first story, "Touching Joshua," began in the December 2007 edition of the magazine. She followed "Touching Joshua," with "Talk about Love," and "The Seashell." Her newest story is slated to begin November 1st, 2008, and titled, "Free Love."

Three of Kiernan's stories, "Dancing on the Head of a Pin," "Satyr-Day Night Fever," and "Waiting for Dimi," have been nominated for the 2008 Gaylactic Spectrum Award, sponsored by the Gaylactic Network and the Gaylactic Spectrum Awards Foundation.

"Dancing on the Head of a Pin" won a place on the Gaylactic Spectrum Awards short list of recommended reads for 2008.

Next on the list of Kiernan's releases will be "In Their Own Skins: Shifting Sands," a shapeshifter novel releasing in December from Torquere Press; a novella entitled "The Judas Steer," in an anthology for MLR Press; a short story called "The Man Who Cried Werewolf" in Flipped Fables and "Magic and Mimicry" in the Shifting Them anthology, both from Torquere Press; and finally, two short story contributions for Starbooks Press – "Bugger Off!" in the Service With A Smile anthology, and "Partners" in the Ride Me, Cowboy anthology.

In addition to print releases, Kiernan has a plethora of other short stories and novellas available only in e-format. Links to these and all of Kiernan's works, both in print and e-format, can be found at her website, www.KiernanKelly.com.
