Seattle's Home for Disturbed Youth has housed a number of youth in its time but none as unpredictable and dangerous as Noah Faye. At the age of 18, Noah Faye was taken from this home, the only home he knows, and relocated.

Toby Leroux has seen many specialist in psychiatric disorders all his life and not a single one could figure out the best way to deal with him. He was soon admitted into a psychiatric hospital after the attempt to burn down his family's apartment building.

Life can't get any worse for Samantha Greene who is recently divorced and not allowed to see her daughter. However, it does get worse when Samantha's ex husband uses his influences to ensure Samantha is locked away for ever.

Shadow Starling has always been a little depressed growing up. She's a disappointment to her mother and spends her life living in the shadows of her lost brother until her father dies. On her 17th birthday Shade has a vision that sends her life down a completely different road.
