Anna ran through the forest, faster and faster, looking over her shoulder at every opportunity. Were they gaining on her? Even though they chased her on horses, the distance between her and her pursuers had widened considerably.

Suddenly, she saw a flash of movement out of the corner of her eye. Turning her head as she ran, she saw a horse, so black it was almost blue, keeping pace with her. Its rider was watching her from underneath a great hood. Then, on the other side of her, she saw another flash. This horse was a rich, deep chestnut color, and its rider was watching as well.

Eventually, she was surrounded. She sank to her knees and wept in desperation. All of her hard work to keep from being captured again, trying to return to her kingdom, and she was caught like a wild animal.
