Fragile Hope

Even in a world full of such magic and unexpected creatures, a shape shifter is rare. Most Creatures go their entire lives without ever meeting one (although if they did, they probably wouldn’t even know it.) Shape shifters are not their own race of Fae, as Elves are. They are, in fact, genetic anomalies. This shape shifter comes from an entire family of normal Fae and is in fact part of a set of triplets. But she is the only shape shifter in her whole family. Most Fae fear shape shifters, and as a result they are shunned from normal society. However, this shape shifter, named Fajra, was lucky. Her parents were the King and Queen of the Fae kingdom, making her the Fae princess.
And so it was, that this evening, so much like any other evening, the lives of the young prince and princess were changed forever.
They were baby sitters.
