Synopsis: Mused

Annelise Duchaime is tired. She has, after all, been serving her term as a muse for 999 years. She thanks the gods that this is her last year, even though she knows that when the year -- and her final assignment -- are up, she will no longer exist. The ticking clock doesn't bother her until she finds herself in a bit of a mess: her mentor (and the head of the Council of Muses) is missing, the second-in-command might be behind it, and (worst of all), Annie has broken the cardinal rule of being a muse by falling in love with the man she's supposed to inspire.

Annie knows she has to get things straightened out before her time is up. She just doesn't know exactly how she's going to manage it.
